    I was definatly taken in by this one. Ifelt like they used Dickens to sell and really lousy story. Dickens was up, he was down, he was in america, he was home. Really, was a book that you can easily find out was never published worthy of so many tedious hours of storytelling?

    this book is a great example of how great narration can heighten the listeners experience.

    This reader was incredibly chilled by both the story line and the narration.

    Don't let the movie stop you-this is really nothing much like it. Try it out you will not be sorry!

    I love Elizabethan fiction but this one really pushed the envelope. The characters were not really likeable. You don't develop a real relationship or bond with the storyteller, characters or even the era. No a fav by far!

    I am getting to enjoy this series more with each successive book. I recommend to anyone disappointed in the flimsy plot of this one to continue on to the next book in the series. This one was more like a primer-introducing characters and eqypt. The next book is much more solid in its storytelling. Give 'em another chance!

    Wow this was one of THE worst books I have ever 'read'. it was as though the author listened to 80's hair band rock while they wrote. the names are completely absurb and the sex scenes are laughable. Yuck. No depth whatsoever.
