Overall, I enjoyed the book. It was feel good. A bit predictable, but enjoyable.
This one was a bit blah for Sophie Kinsella. LOVEEE her others.. but this one was predictable and didn't have a lot of substance.
I only listened to the first couple hours and just couldn't get into it. The main character is totally unlikable.
but great story, nonetheless. I was used to Emily Gray being Becky Bloomwood. I've started Shopaholic and Baby an it's a new narrator there too. All great narrations, just thought of Becky as Emily Gray! Don't know why the changes. However, I LOVEEEE the series... I can already tell I'm going to miss Becky when I'm all done!!!
I really enjoyed the fact that the main character was definite on her child free position. This is so refreshing. I surprisingly enjoyed this book and that may be the reason why. It was very real... very life-like. Not a traditional chick-lit, more melancholy. Being 30 years old, I am encompassing all the scenarios in this book, it really hit home. Glad I listened to it! Not sure about the ending, but overall... a good read!
I like this series a lot... but Heaven, Texas is probably one of my favorites. I love the characters in this one... and the story-line!
I got this book because it was on sale and it was so cute! A fun read! I will listen to it again. Loved the narrator.
The narration was too slow. She was trying to be sexy, I suppose. I had to put it on double speed just to get through the book.
Slowwwwwww and trying to be too sexy. Not enjoyable.
Disappointed. Writing is terrible. Sounds like author just wanted to write a saucy novel and wrote it in one sitting (same words and phrases over and over). Will not read the other 2.
It took me a couple hours to get into this story, but I really enjoyed it in the end. LOVE the narrator! I was kind of sad at the end! I would recommend it. A different type of story but very enjoyable!
I bought this audiobook b/c of a sale and thought I'd give it a try. I actually really enjoyed it!! I wasn't sure how I'd like a high school setting, but it was fun to "re-live" it through a boarding school scenario. I loved hearing the inner thoughts of Lee... as crazy as they were, it's nice to know that our adolescent thoughts were somewhat normal. It was real and raw, which I appreciated. I'm sad it's over!
