Enchantment, as defined by bestselling business guru Guy Kawasaki, is not about manipulating people. It transforms situations and relationships. It converts hostility into civility and civility into affinity. It changes the skeptics and cynics into the believers and the undecided into the loyal. Enchantment can happen during a retail transaction, a high-level corporate negotiation, or a Facebook update.

The book is well written, but it didn't have any take-aways for me. As long as you apply a little common sense, and try to be likeable, then this book doesn't really have to much going for it. If you have trouble being likeable, then this would be a great read.

The new model for marketing - Marketing 3.0 - treats customers not as mere consumers but as the complex, multi-dimensional human beings that they are. Customers, in turn, are choosing companies and products that satisfy deeper needs for participation, creativity, community, and idealism. In Marketing 3.0, world-leading marketing guru Philip Kotler explains why the future of marketing lies in creating products, services, and company cultures that inspire, include, and reflect the values of target customers.

This book talks about how the future of marketing has shifted from product development (marketing 1.0), to customer satisfaction (marketing 2.0), to the satisfaction of humanity as a whole (marketing 3.0).

It is safe to say that this book is founded on truth. We can simply look at other organizations that are already using these principles, such as Tom's Shoes, Sevenly, and TheSharity.

This is a great book for any social good, cause marketing type of organization as well as a prophetic warning/encouragement to already established organizations.

I think the overall concept of this book was well worth the money and time listening to it. Not getting this book could cost you your time, investment, and suck the life out of your dream.

This book gives you a road map of how to correct your service/product as early as possible, before it's to late.
