The 40-year-old crucifixion of a prominent labor leader named Jack Flynn remains an unsolved atrocity that has never been forgotten in New Iberia, Louisiana. When Flynn's daughter, Megan, returns to the site of her father's murder, it quickly becomes clear that her family's blood-stained past will not stay buried. Megan gives her old friend Dave Robicheaux a tip about a small-time criminal named Cool Breeze Broussard, scarcely suspecting that the seemingly innocuous case will lead Robicheaux and his partner into the midst of a deadly conspiracy.

Would you recommend this book to a friend? Why or why not?

    Not this production.

Who was your favorite character and why?

    not relevant

What didn’t you like about Mark Hammer and Will Patton ’s performance?

I have not yet gotten to Will Patton. All of the other books by this author have been narrated by Patton and his skill is a major reason for purchases. Mark Hammer does not know how to speak in different characters adequately and especially does not know south Louisiana. I am listening only because my commute is boring. Hammer's nasal "cracker" accent for every character at least gives me something other than the traffic to fret over. I will never again purchase anything with his name on it.

Did Sunset Limited inspire you to do anything?

Never purchase anything with Mark Hammer as narrator.

    Any additional comments?

I feel that I purchased this book under false pretenses. It was listed under Patton as a narrator. I'm a couple of hours in and still am afflicted with Hammer. When will Patton appear? Audible was less than honest in the way the book was presented.
