I completely agree with the previous post. I really like this author, but I kept finding myself wanting at just scream at Ellen for her wishy washy, bring-it-all-on-yourself and whine about it behavior. But on the upside, I would say it's good for a light summer book.
Started great. Characters turn out to be weak and whiney. It's bad when you begin pulling for the lead to take the overdose just to be done with it.
This was my first book by this author, don't know how I missed her. I have since purchased all her books on good reads and cannot wait to listen to all of them.
A smidge confusing until you figure out what time period they are talking about. Again, for historical fiction lovers it's a must read!
I don't know how I missed this story years ago and I cannot believe I missed the miniseries. I suppose it's just as well. The story brought such much too life. Well worth reading by anyone who loves historical fiction.
Great story, kept you guessing the entire time. Really could have done without the signing intro into each new section. But was able to just fast forwarded through that time.
I cannot believe I have to wait 11 months before I can finished this series!!!!! That is so not fair, I have to know what happens!
I don't like science fiction but love teen books. It was wonderful. Captures you from the minute you start it. The charaters, the story it is all wonderfully woven to bring her into Elder's world!
Light, easy summer book. It's entertaining, Bridget Jones was better but this is ok. It's more along the lines of the the 2nd Jones book.
I normally enjoy historical fiction. There was something out of place in this story. I was unsettled by the way the husband gave up and left his family behind rather than returning and attempting to find them. Once they are all together he seems to believe that the wife and child should simply forget the way they had lived for the last what 5 or so years. It just left me very disappointed.
Lizzie continues on her stumbling road to sucess. Has the things that make a book good, supportive friends, a plot twist and a happy ending. Great summertime book.
