This is by far, the best book in the series. So many questions answered and the characters really come to life. I enjoyed it a great deal.
It is the same
Spoiler* At the end...we all realize that the result or the outcome or what that little girl became was because of other people. I cried.
Just the perfect voices of both of them to bring the characters to life in my mind while listening to them.
The richness of the characters.
I would have to say the first one in this series.
Yes. One of the best series I have read. I just can't get over how you think someone is a main character and bam! Dead. I love the action and suspense. It's crazy.
Are you kidding me? It's a big book. But I did listen to it daily. I could not stop myself.
I enjoyed the sisters of the main character. They were like comic relief. The story could get intense at times.
I think the title says it all. Look what he did to his leg to get to her.
Not really. It took me three times to finally finish the first book. This one I was a little more involved in the book and the characters.
I am going for book 3 now.
In the cave with the fire serpant.
If it was, it would look like a B movie. The characters are not deep enough in this book for a movie or TV series. The first book, yes. Not this one.
I can't believe a Stephen King book made me tear up.
I enjoy Stephen King. He is a different kind of writer. Some stories scare the crap out of me and others I just don't get. Some of them have a deeper meaning and some leave me just wondering. I will always true another book from Stephen King because I never know where I am going to end up emotionally at the end.
Has to be the kid. Love the kid.
For some reason...a lot of his books just don't adapt well to movies. The book is always better. So if the movie was good...you know that book will knock your socks off. I would play it by ear if I went and saw it.
Sherrilyn Kenyon is one of my favorites and Holter Graham is a must on any of her books. I can't even listen to her books when someone else is reading. I would rather read it. So the answer to the questions is ..yes.
This been is more for teens. I love her other series and her website. Chronicles of Nick does not compare to books like Acheron by Kenyon. If you think it will, you will be disappointed. For young adults however, the book is very good and so is the series. I enjoy reading them so I can have background info on the older Nick in the other series.
Holter Graham has a great voice and is made for her books. See answer above.
The full circle of the characters from the series.
Sookie of course was my favorite character and I am glad for one who she ended up with.
I am so glad she read all the books. I could not picture anyone else doing the voices of my favorite characters. Including Bubba! She just has that southern thing down to an art.
The end. It was just a nice ending. I am being vague so I don't spoil it for anyone.
I am very disappointed with how True Blood is going on HBO. However, I was very pleased that this series stayed true to the characters and the author stayed true to herself. True Blood is someone else's story now. It is not Ms. Harris. She has taken a great deal of crap for that. She wrote a wonderful story with characters that you could really get into. Congrats to her on the completion of her story of Sookie and I wish her all the best on her next series.
About the same. I used the new technology and was able to jump from one to the other without losing my place on the kindle.
I have read another book to compare The Shack with.
I really don't have much to say about his voice. Sometimes you like the narrator and other times you don't.
I don't think so. There is so much to take in. At times it was as if you were having your own personal journey while listening to someone else's personal journey. I don't think you can do that with out some time for reflection.
This book is brilliant. Told through the eyes of a beloved dog. It is a must read/listen for any collector of stories. I am not a race fan and there is quit a bit mentioned in the book but the story is simply about the love of a dog, through a dog's eyes, for his master. There were some parts that were very emotional. Loved it.
