Would you consider the audio edition of Heat to be better than the print version?

This is a unique story from extended research from the author. It is very educational and entertaining. It'll keep you interested. I read the book and then later listened to the audiobook. The audiobook, as usual, was a much richer experience. Story telling is so much more entertaining.

What did you like best about this story?

The adventures in Italy were very interesting and enlightening.

    Any additional comments?

Highly recommended and certainly worth the time and credit.

Abbey of Ruac, rural France: A medieval script is discovered hidden behind an antique bookcase. Badly damaged, it is sent to Paris for restoration, and there literary historian Hugo Pineau begins to read the startling 14th-century text. Within its pages lies a fanciful tale of a painted cave and the secrets it contains - and a rudimentary map showing its position close to the abbey. Intrigued, Hugo enlists the help of archaeologist Luc Simard and the two men go exploring.

You should really like this one as well. I waited such a long time for more Glenn Cooper on Audible. Now - 2 new ones !! I really enjoyed the tale and the narrator really began to shine as the story continued. Excellent character voices and so many accents - done very well. The story keeps you interested right up 'til the end. I was so sorry it was over. So many tales within the tale. Don't miss this one if you like historically oriented, adventure fiction.

Hig survived the flu that killed everyone he knows. His wife is gone, his friends are dead, he lives in the hangar of a small abandoned airport with his dog, his only neighbor a gun-toting misanthrope. In his 1956 Cessna, Hig flies the perimeter of the airfield or sneaks off to the mountains to fish and to pretend that things are the way they used to be. But when a random transmission somehow beams through his radio, the voice ignites a hope deep inside him that a better life exists beyond the airport.

What made the experience of listening to The Dog Stars the most enjoyable?

The 1st person narrative and the almost poetic descriptions and flowing rythm. The narrator was perfect for this book. A unique experience, I'll recommend to everyone and read again.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Obviously, Big Hig -- THE story.

Have you listened to any of Mark Deakins’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

    No.

    Any additional comments?

My complaint is it was too short because it was over too soon. I was continually impressed by the poetic descriptions and deep personal points of view. I have never read Peter Heller's books and didn't know what to expect - I was completely satisfied with the choice. Bravo and thank you!

On November 22, 1963, three shots rang out in Dallas, President Kennedy died, and the world changed. What if you could change it back? In this brilliantly conceived tour de force, Stephen King - who has absorbed the social, political, and popular culture of his generation more imaginatively and thoroughly than any other writer - takes listeners on an incredible journey into the past and the possibility of altering it.

What made the experience of listening to 11-22-63 the most enjoyable?

Such a creative and interesting story colored perfectly by an excellent audio performance. The second half becomes a little less interesting, but overall it is definitely worth a listen. A credit well spent!

Have you listened to any of Craig Wasson???s other performances before? How does this one compare?

No this is the 1st narration I have experienced with Craig Wasson - but hopefully not the last, amazing talent.

Could you survive on your own, in the wild, with everyone out to make sure you don't live to see the morning? In the ruins of a place once known as North America lies the nation of Panem, a shining Capitol surrounded by 12 outlying districts. The Capitol is harsh and cruel and keeps the districts in line by forcing them all to send one boy and one girl between the ages of 12 and 18 to participate in the annual Hunger Games, a fight to the death on live TV.

An interesting, can't put it down story. Good for any audience, except for graphic violence descriptions. Very well done. Excellent narrator. So glad there is more to come - it definitely leaves you wanting more.

This true modern masterpiece is built around the two fateful words that make up the title and herald the end - “Alas, Babylon.” When a nuclear holocaust ravages the United States, a thousand years of civilization are stripped away overnight, and tens of millions of people are killed instantly. But for one small town in Florida, miraculously spared, the struggle is just beginning, as men and women of all backgrounds join together to confront the darkness....

    Evelyn says: "Excellent listen"
"Excellent Book / Excellent Presentation !"

First I am so impressed with the narration talent of Will Patton. I admire him as an actor but I was amazed at the art he puts into narrating this story. Thank you Mr. Patton! You made the story come to life for us. This book was required reading when I was in middle school (a very long time ago). The story is still very intriquing and keeps you hooked. It's hard to stop listening. My wife finished it in 2 days - because she couldn't turn it off. I was so disappointed when it was over. Excellent writing / excellent performance. Bravo Mr. Frank & Mr. Patton!

Former FBI Special Agent Will Piper solved and survived the "Doomsday Killer" case, and his reward was a forced early retirement. But the shattering truths he learned about the government's most covert operations won't let him rest and now he's on the trail of a mysterious volume that's been lost for six centuries.

This book and Secret of the 7th Son (read them in order) are some of my favorite audiobooks to date. The story is so interesting and captivating it's hard to stop listening. Everyone I have recommended this to has felt the same way. If it doesn't become a block buster movie & sequel - I'll be surprised. The narrator is absolutely one of the best I've ever experienced. Cudos to the talent of the writer & the narrator and thank you both for the hours of imaginative entertainment. Please do more soon!
