Enough already!! Ok the first two in the series had me, and then book 3. Same great story but waiting and waiting then nothing!! It seems the author didn't have a plan. It gets less exciting as the series goes on. After completing book three I was disappointed and frustrated, wishing I had never started the series in the first place.
Pillars of The Earth, was an amazing rich journey in history! I hoped, cried, and laughed my way through this story.
The characters and setting are so real, you could almost touch them.
John Lee is a wonderful narrator and truly brings the story to life.
Though its quite long its never slow. The constant struggle and addaptation of the characters kept me enthralled till the end. I finished feeling that I wanted more. Definitely a must listen!
Fantastic I'll listen more than once i'm sure. Kitchen House is on my must list!
Ok this book was recommended to me because I love the Outlander series, and it doesn't hold a candle. That said, this book was fun to say the least. If you're looking for substance go elsewhere, but if you like a steamy romance you won't be dissapointed. yummy!!
Swan song is worth every hour! I couldn't put it down. Frightening but well crafted and beautiful.
Sweet potato queens are perfect if you need a laugh! Its a great reminder that even the rough times can be funny with the right perspective. I wouldn't have bought this for myself but it was a great gift!
Neil Gaiman's stories are always charming, witty and entertaining. As a narrator he is fantastic!
I'm not big on short stories, and even one of my favorite authors couldn't change that for me. If you're a Gaiman fan and don't mind shorts this would be a great collection. I'll probably stick to the longer stories.
I started this series in print years ago and love it!! The Audible version does not disappoint. Odd Thomas is a wonderful character to follow through his adventures. The narrator does an amazing job. Its a great thriller with surprising laugh out loud humor! The whole series is a must!
On a dark and stormy night, a logic defying group of people investigate and old house. Though it was the "same old story" told many diffrent ways, The Supernaturals was good and creepy. Not overly creative, I never found myself trying to guesse what happens next. I enjoyed the story and the narration, but wouldn't go out of my way to recommend it to a friend.
I would not consider The Pines a must listen, but it was entertaining. It was surprising and unpredictable. If you're looking for a light but thrilling story its perfect. The narration was good and the plot was faster paced.
