In the second book of the Star Force series, Kyle Riggs has another bad year. The Nano ships have a new mission--one that sentences their pilots to death. Meanwhile, the governments of Earth want to steal Star Force's Nano technology for their own. Worst of all, Earth has made a promise to the Macros, and the machines are coming to collect.

After finishing the first book in the series, i made an assumption as to where the second book would go. I was very wrong, but that's fine, because the turn the story took that i had not expected was a great surprise. The narration is right on. I feel that this book actually has another book inside of it if the author chose to write another book using other "characters."

I cant wait for Audible to release "Rebellion."

Dark fantasy goes hardboiled in Book II of the hard-hitting Grimnoir Chronicles by the New York Times best-selling creator of Monster Hunter International. The Grimnoir Society’s mission is to protect people with magic, and they’ve done so—successfully and in secret—since the mysterious arrival of the Power in the 1850s, but when a magical assassin makes an attempt on the life of President Franklin Roosevelt, the crime is pinned on the Grimnoir.

You are only reading my review if you finished book one "Hard Magic." Hard Magic was great. Spell Bound leave us with even more questions and cliff hangers. I felt more involved with the characters in this book. Obviously if you liked book one,you will also be a fan of book two. Read it.

    Larry! Where is book 3??

Jake Sullivan is a licensed private eye with a seriously hardboiled attitude. He also possesses raw magical talent and the ability to make objects in his vicinity light as a feather or as heavy as depleted uranium, all with a magical thought. It's no wonder the G-men turn to Jake when they need someoneto go after a suspected killer who has been knocking off banks in a magic-enhanced crime spree.

Quite a few reviewers have said that the Grimnoir series is way better than the MHI books. I personally disagree. BUT,the Grimnoir books are fantastic, original and they keep you listening. I loved that in between chapters we get some new history blurbs as they could have happened with the addition of magical powers.

Sweet story, read the publishers description, and then be surprised that the book is way better than the publisher describes.

This second MHI book is awesome. It had me laughing out loud, and i don't laugh at just anything. This book continues with some bad ass monsters and demons trying to wipe out some of MHI's best. But it also will finally tell us where internet spam comes from, the secret lives of garden gnomes, and online trolls.

    Awesome story,funny listen,get it.

This book is not going to have the characters you have grown to love in the first MHI book. Its all about Earl Harbinger. I have to admit, for me,it started a little slow. But then once it got going it was great. Some new characters will be moving on to the next book and you will be happy that they do.

Honestly, the title of this series made me think it was going to be a book for 5th grade boys. After a good friend of mine telling me that his father read the first book and loved it, and that my friend then read it and loved it,i had to give it a try.

The MHI books are high up on my list of favorite listens. The narrator is aweomse, the story NEVER has a dull spot and its also funny while entertaining. I love these books. Give them a try.

Once your name is on the list, it doesn't come off - until you're dead. Someone has just added counterterrorism operative Scot Harvath's name to the list. Do you want to know what is happening in our country? Read this book. The fence that is being built around us is detailed inside. And that, is not a work of fiction.

I really like the concept of the cell phone accident. Phoners and normies.

This was a story that could have been great. But it ended up just being mediocre. I cant say i would tell anyone i know to get this one.

Its a twist on the zombie type of books out there. But better. The only thing is, you never care about the characters in this story.

I love Stephen King, i really do, but he let me down on this one.
