I am in love with these books and the wonderful plays on words, the silliness, the adventures of a strong female character. I got lost in each book and now, having reached the end of what is available, wait with baited breath for the next and the others that follow. Ihope the author never tires of stories or of this series and I truly hope the narrator stays with the series. She is PRICELESS. Her intonations and accents are perfect and precious!
Emily Gray is now my favourite actress for audible books. I love how she brings the characters to life, each their very own and special accent or tone. She maintains consistency throughout the series and I truly appreciate that.
I may try the next novel to see if the storyline is more complete, but haven't decided. Normally, if the first novel was good I would buy the series, but not this time. I will have to examine the other reviews..
Jane Rent whistle does a marvelous job of storytelling. Her voices are Consistent and unique. She expresses emotion and personality perfectly. Her narration in other novels is why I tried this book.
The story left some things happening, lots of loose ends. The conclusion was rushed. The identity of the killer is obvious.
Is it about zombies, really. It is about survival and how the meaning of the concept of survival is different for everyone.
I love science & fantasy fiction and thus ghastly been a wonderful tale. The narrator does a great job-each character distinct Nd perfect. A couple of things were predictable, but nevertheless, it is a solid story.
The story is adorable.the precocious main character has a voice and imagination that blurts out hilarious and odd bits of trivia. The narrator is priceless, the best I have encountered. While the conclusion of the story us predictable. It was worth listening to for no other reason than to discover what Flavia thinks or does next!
I am a sci-Fi addict and usually love worlds and peoples that are utterly alien, but perhaps it is because this is a book entirely of war. I hated it. I made it through the first section. I have finally given up. I simply can't get into it. Probably just not my style, but I have only quit one other book, usually I find something enjoyable. Not this time. Not this book.
I enjoyed the book, though the constant focus on sex and the coc. Was tiresome. It didn't move the story forward but got tedious,
The world is well developed.
No. Well, maybe, but the sounds of his mouth, kind of like he is having trouble with dry mouth and keeps kind of smacking his saliva around. The awful music and that were distracting. Otherwise, I think he did a good job.
Very touching, makes me think about our future.
It introduces a new species and alien way of thinking.
The narrator didn't do this book justice at all. This is the first time I have hated the narration. The emotions and inflections don't fit at all.
No. I would read the story.
The story needs glue. It is disconnected and could use fleshing out. Is this an excerpt? That is the only thing that makes sense. The narration didn't help.
This has to be one of my top 10 favourite books. I adore the humor and creativity. The main character is hilarious. Having raised a son, I can easily picture the antics of this young man and of Jesus as depicted in this story. I highly recommend this book, it is sure to make you laugh out loud, unless you are defensive about religious beliefs and are offended by the depiction of Jesus and his companions as anything less that saints.
