Owen is the organizer of the Montgomery clan, running the family’s construction business with an iron fist - and an even less flexible spreadsheet. And though his brothers give him grief for his compulsive list making, the Inn BoonsBoro is about to open right on schedule. The only thing Owen didn’t plan for was Avery MacTavish... Avery’s popular pizza place is right across the street from the inn, giving her a firsthand look at its amazing renovation - and a newfound appreciation for Owen.

What did you love best about The Last Boyfriend?

I love this story line. These brothers are "dream" guys. The idea that these three rough & tough guys can be brought to their knees by "the look" from their Mom is awesome.

What other book might you compare The Last Boyfriend to and why?

The entire series is great. The only problem I have is that there is only three books! I want more of the Montgomery boys!

Have you listened to any of MacLeod Andrews’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

MacLeod "makes" these characters come alive. The voices he's created fit exactly with the personalities of the characters. He has done an awesome job in these books. I'm now a fan and will search out other books that he narrates.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

The scene where Owen walks in on Justine & Willie B is off the charts! I laughed out loud while driving down the road! Then I cried!

    Any additional comments?

I'm a Nora Roberts fan and love these romantic story's the best.

What disappointed you about Fifty Shades of Grey?

I was so excited to get the book because all my friends have told me "you have to get it", so I did. I can't get far enough into the book to see what all the fuss is about because of the narrator. Sorry this was a bad purchase for me

Would you be willing to try another book from E. L. James? Why or why not?

    By E.L. James, yes

How could the performance have been better?

    Get another narrator!

If you could play editor, what scene or scenes would you have cut from Fifty Shades of Grey?

Don't have a clue, haven't gotten that far.

    Any additional comments?

Just re-do it and get another narrator. Nothing personal, she's just not right for this book.

Ex-cocktail waitress and "convenience story professional" Eudora "Pea" O'Brien is filled with grief and regret, low on cash and all alone. Headed down the hot, dusty back roads of central Texas, Pea is convinced she'll find a sign leading her to the reincarnated soul of the sister who raised her. A sign that she's found her place in the world of the living again. At least that's what the psychic promised....

What did you love best about The Goddess of Fried Okra?

The story was a little slow, but I love any book about Texas!

What did you like best about this story?

    Happy ending

What didn’t you like about Kymberly Dakin’s performance?

The Texas "accent" is HORRIBLE! and if you're going to talk about Texas and Texas towns PLEASE GET THE PRONUNCIATION CORRECT! Yes I'm a TEXAN and very proud of it!!!

    Any additional comments?

I love Jean Brashear books and have listened to all that I can find. I was dissapointed in this one because of the lack of the Texas drawl and the names of the town were so badly botched that it took a little thought to figure out what she was trying to say.

From her secret perch at the top of the stairs, Gabriella Harrison watches the guests arrive at her parents' lavish Manhattan town house. At seven, she knows she is an intruder in her parents' life. Later, hiding in a closet, the click, click, click of her mother's high heels will strike terror in her heart. Gabriella believes, as she is told, that she is to blame for her mother's rage -- and her father's failure to protect her. Her world is a confusing blend of terror, betrayal, and pain. Her parents' aristocratic world is no safeguard against the abuse that knows no boundaries, respects no person, no economic lines. Gabriella knows that, try as she might, there is no safe place for her to hide. Even as a child, her only escape is through the stories she writes. Only writing can dull the pain of her lonely world. And when her parents' marriage collapses, Gabriella is given her first reprieve, as her father disappears, and then her mother abandons her to a convent. There, Gabriella's battered body and soul begin to mend. Amid the quiet safety and hushed rituals of the nuns, Gabriella grows into womanhood in a safe, peaceful world. Then a young priest comes into her life. Father Joe Connors never questioned his vocation until Gabriella entered the confessional and shared her soul. Confession leades to friendship. And friendship grows dangerously into love. Like Gabriella, Joe is haunted by the pain of his childhood, consumed by guilt over a family tragedy, for which he blames himself. With Gabriella, Joe takes the first steps toward healing. But their relationship leads to disaster as Joe must choose between priesthood and Gabriella, and life in the real world where he fears he does not belong, and cannot cope. Exiled and disgraced, and nearly destroyed, Gabriella struggles to survive on her own in New York. There she seeks healing and escape through her writing again, this time as an adult, she is beyond hurt.
