  • The Importance of Being Earnest: Free Performance

    • UNABRIDGED (1 hr and 58 mins)

This final play from the pen of Oscar Wilde is a stylish send-up of Victorian courtship and manners, complete with assumed names, mistaken lovers, and a lost handbag. Jack and Algernon are best friends, both wooing ladies who think their names are Ernest, "that name which inspires absolute confidence." Wilde's effervescent wit, scathing social satire, and high farce make this one of the most cherished plays in the English language.

  • More than Friends

The Maxwells and the Popes have been friends forever. The women were college roommates, their husbands are partners in the same law firm, their kids have grown up next door to each other, and the two families share both vacations and holidays. Like Wisteria Lane, the "perfect" suburban street of Desperate Housewives, all is beautiful and serene - until an accident forces these close neighbors to look beneath the surface. In this moving, unforgettable story, Barbara Delinsky exquisitely captures the depth and complexity of the human heart as few writers can.

Would you try another book from Barbara Delinsky and/or Barbara Rosenblat?

I really like Delinsky's books, I've read many. This was my first Delinsky audio book and the narrator is AWFUL!!! So awful that I do not intend to finish this book, I just can't stand her voice.

What was most disappointing about Barbara Delinsky’s story?

I'm not big on stories about infidelity and this one was so unrealistic.

Would you be willing to try another one of Barbara Rosenblat’s performances?

I will never by choice listen to Rosenblat again!

    Any additional comments?

Could I get my money back?
