We can be diminishers without realizing it ... and this book teaches us how to become multipliers to those around us. An excellent resource for business and family!
I ordered this audio book for two reasons. One, I love classics ... and two, a previous reviewer raved about the narrator's outstanding skill (Simon Vance). I agree 200%. Mr. Vance made David Copperfield literally come alive for me, performing each voice with extreme skill and precision - even women and youngsters. And Charles Dickens' reputation needs no further endorsement. The story was so gripping, I felt as if I actually knew the characters and was greatly disappointed when it concluded. I could have read (listened, in this case!) and read and read and read.
Frank McCourt quickly became one of my favorite writers ... AND narrators, after listening to him recount his own story. My only disappointment is how abruptly it ends and the fact that the title has no bearing on the story (but does in the continuation of Frank's story, called "'T'Is"). A must read for everyone, but not until high school because of the harsh and realistic content and language.
Excellent little ditty ... and the fact that Samuel L. Jackson narrates it is icing on the cake! Every parent (every honest one, that is) feels this way at one time or another with their children. Bravo, Adam! Bravo, Samuel!
