My daughter recommended this book but was a bit hesitant because of the vampire story. Oh my land......I loved this book. The readers were incredible and I just did not want the book to end. I will be listening to this one again. Great listen to!!!
could NOT get into the story
Totally disappointed. The story sounded good, tried to listen to it 3 times.........did not work for me. Do not recommend it at all. It was a waste of a credit.
The reader was fantastic!! And the story taught about the history of the times. Being from Spokane, WA............easy to relate to the story on a deeper level.
When the young man did everything he could to find his friend.
I loved this book from beginning to end. How Kate Morton weaves the past with the present is so amazing. I love how she developed all the characters deeply so that I, the listener, could make a picture in my mind. I was sad when it ended. The reader is fantastic. Her ability to come up with any accent is amazing and wonderful on the ear!!
Too many to highlight. The book is memorable.
The Blythe twins. Caroline's ability to switch voices so wonderfully is amazing.
I look for books by Kate Morton and read by Caroline Lee because I know I will NOT be disappointed.
I have only listened to the book and I loved it!!
All of them..........they all worked so well together and I was able to follow the story. It was worth the listen.
all of them............she is a great reader. I look for books read by Barbara Rosenblat just to hear her voice and enjoy her ability to make a story great.
Loved the book. Great sweet story, not mushy. Serious and funny. Good combo
There were times when I wanted to smack Marcus in the head and tell him to get it together.........but it is his story.
Nope........think I'm done. It was OK while it lasted.
I do like the fact that he took the risk to tell his own story.........just wouldn't change anything. It is him.
I wouldn't go see it. The story is not that intriguing to me. I do love his parents and grandma
The reader was excellent. The book was both intensely scary and funny!! That was a great combination and the reader delivered it well.
Henry........naturally. He was so real........I could identify with all his emotions.
I haven't..........but they are on my wish list.
I laughed and cried while I listened. I listened twice and still got scared the second time. I bit my nails, laughed and just wanted to listen and listen.
Highly recommend this book. If you listen............you have to listen to all of it.
The reader was wonderful!! And the story so sweet. I love happy endings.
I loved the part where the main character finally frees herself from her lifestyle, but continues to love the people around her.
I listened to this book a bit ago, but I do remember feeling good at the end and during the story. I love a story that you are so addicted to that YOU MUST LISTEN. This is one of those books. Sweet, but not syrupy.
This was one of my first listen to's. And Bernadette Dunne is an incredible reader. I've chosen other books just to hear her read again.......she's that good. And the book is terrific. It starts out with laughter and food and continues the entire way through.........laughing and food........doesn't get better.
The voice of the reader is the most incredible. You sometimes have to bang your head to remember that only one voice is doing all the characters. He is amazing. And the story is rich with history, love, passion, fight for the rights of humanity.......it has it all. Great book.
This story and what Greg Mortenson is doing is amazing. Read it and make up your own mind.
