Katie MacAlister, best-selling author of paranormal romantic comedies, ignites a devilishly lusty story with Light My Fire. The gorgeous Aisling Grey, introduced in You Slay Me, juggles being a demon lord, a Guardian, and a wyvern's mate all at once - though not always successfully. Recently relocated to London, Aisling and her doggie demon sidekick, Jim, are eager for a fresh start. Drake the hunky dragon, however, has other plans for her.

Would you listen to The Guardian of Bastet again? Why?

YES! There are parts of the book that are eerie and parts that made me laugh out loud. Anyone who has ever been owned by a cat will recognize the true light touch and skill that brings her familiar to life. I actually rooted for the heroine to win!

What was one of the most memorable moments of The Guardian of Bastet?

    The moments with her familiar!

After winning the trust of the terra indigene residing in the Lakeside Courtyard, Meg Corbyn has had trouble figuring out what it means to live among them. As a human, Meg should be barely tolerated prey, but her abilities as a cassandra sangue make her something more.

What did you love best about Murder of Crows?

This book was a natural continuation of the first book without rehashing old information. Please remember to listen to the first book first. This explored Meg's past and showed more information about the courtyard. Well worth the listening time and I will listen to it again!

What did you like best about this story?

The characters became so real and vital to me as I listened to the story.

As a cassandra sangue, or blood prophet, Meg Corbyn can see the future when her skin is cut - a gift that feels more like a curse. Meg's Controller keeps her enslaved so he can have full access to her visions. But when she escapes, the only safe place Meg can hide is at the Lakeside Courtyard - a business district operated by the Others. Shape-shifter Simon Wolfgard is reluctant to hire the stranger who inquires about the Human Liaison job.

What did you like best about this story?

This is an different take on the supernatural series that is engaging. The author manages to endear the characters to the reader very quickly and the story unfolds naturally but not slowly. All in all, a very nice suprise from a new author for me.

Which character – as performed by Alexandra Harris – was your favorite?

Simon Wolfguard. She managed to evoke the emotional frustration the character had.

The U.S.S. Enterprise is the site for a wedding that will unite two powerful rival families of the Tizarin. But Captain Picard's happiness is soon cut short by the arrival of Lwaxana Troi, the nagging mother of ship's counsellor Deanna Troi, and the notorious, all-powerful Q, who has come to examine and challenge the human concept of love. Read by Majel Barrett and John de Lancie!

    Overall

The premise of this story is amusing, entertaining and will capture the imagination from start to finish. In this story, Q tangles with the formidible Mrs Troi and the trials and tribulations kept me laughing through the whole of the recording.

Mr DeLancy, having played Q in the series, does a fantastic job with all the sarcasm and wit the character deserves and Madjel is nothing short of wonderful!

Anne Rice, best selling author of The Vampire Chronicles, delves into the mysterious legend of the mummy in this original and poetic tale of romance and horror. It begins in the early 1900s when archaeologist Lawrence Stratford discovers a perfectly preserved mummy in a tomb in Cairo. Little does he know that the mummy has consumed an extraordinary potion that makes him immortal; only the powerful rays of the sun are needed to bring him to life.

"Mr York - GREAT - The script - BAD"
    Overall

I have previously read this as a book and bought this version to listen to on a long drive. I have to say, this was disappointing. The first part of the recording was reasonable in regards to the book, but the last part of the recording strayed so far from the book that the entire meaning was lost for the most part.

Michael York is FANTASTIC as a reader and his voice is capable of changing to match the characters he is speaking for. He is the only real plus for this recording.
