"cute story"
this was a cute book. The characters did everything i wanted them to do, which is rare in romance novels. I want the man to be a bit cave manish, but sweet and honest. I want the woman to be willing but not weak and just a little snarky. I enjoyed this book and will reread it in the future. I did not read the other books in the series and probably will not since they were discussed in this book.
"Can I give zero stars?"
The narrator was boring. He had little to no inflection and his voice was SO wrong for the character Noel. I felt slightly dirty listening to him reading sex scenes. I got half way through the audiobook and realized I had no idea what was going on. I had tuned him out for over an hour. I was very disappointed that he was reading books 2 and 3.
"Dear author..."
Dear Author,
Let me introduce you to a thesaurus, see its a book the has many options for expressing words. Synonyms for "giggle" would be titter, laugh, chuckle...
Sincerely,
Concerned Reader
Other than my upset that the author wrote about a 30 year old woman who can only express joy by giggling. This was a good story.
*giggle
"Awesome series, but not the end"
I have to say that this was a great book, but for some reason I thought it was the end of the series. I listened for the sweet wrap up to all the lose ends, but no, cliff hanger. More books to come later? when!?! How many more O minerals are there? This Series is interesting and could make a great movie some day. I do suggest it as a credit worthy read.
"Great book!"
I really enjoyed this story. The characters are well developed and introduced slowly. I have noticed a theme with this author's book, all of her main characters come from a tragic accident that happens in the teen years. This gets obnoxious while reading, I can only listen to "poor pitiful me" for so long. I am torn on purchasing the next book in the series.
"Awesome series"
I am only half way through this book and I don't want it to end! Amazing series, way better than her vampire series.
"loved it!!!"
I had added and removed this book from my wish list multiple times. I am so glad i finally took a chance. This book was great! the suspense kept me on edge and the romance kept me listening. I can't wait to read more!
"narrator kills it...dead"
I am a listening addict, I have purchased 30 books so far this year and it's march. I love Sylvia Day's books and recommend them all the time. I read the reviews prior to my purchase and noticed that most of them say "can't get past the narrator." I have listened to and liked other narrations done by Justine, but this one just started grating on my nerves prior to the half way point. there is just something about her high class british attempt that makes me tune her out. The story played on for a few more chapters and then i realized that i had no idea what was going on. i plan on getting a refund.
"thank goodness these people are wealthy...."
Thank goodness these people are wealthy and sex is free. I liked the story line, but there was so much sex being had or daydreamed about that i felt a little dirty. don't get me wrong, it was hot, but when do these people have time to work? good story, good narrator. If you need a turn-me-on book this is a good one. Would have been a five star if it didn't make me feel like a sex addict.
"It always ends too soon"
This is the second book in the series and just like the first, it ends in an odd place. Yes that type of ending is successful in making me purchase the next book, but it is annoying. I enjoyed the story line and can't wait for book three to be released.
"so good"
i liked this book more than 50 SOG, but less than Bared to You. Plot was plausible and has happened to people in real life. If you are a fan of the books listed above, buy this book.
