It's fire season, and the hills of Los Angeles are burning. As the residents of Laurel Canyon are being evacuated from their homes, Police and Fire Department personnel find the corpse of a recluse who apparently committed suicide. Clutched in his lap is a photo album containing photographs of seven young women who have been murdered.

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

I always enjoy Elvis and joe, but this story was not quite on par with many others. Still a good

What was your reaction to the ending? (No spoilers please!)

Nice wrap-up. I wondered what inspired the title.

What about James Daniels???s performance did you like?

Excellent. Narrators are my reason for listening rather than reading.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

    No.

    Any additional comments?

I am eager to hear the next Elvis or joe novel.

Oslo in November. The first snow of the season has fallen. A boy named Jonas wakes in the night to find his mother gone. Out his window, in the cold moonlight, he sees the snowman that inexplicably appeared in the yard earlier in the day. Around its neck is his mother’s pink scarf. Hole suspects a link between a menacing letter he’s received and the disappearance of Jonas’s mother - and of perhaps a dozen other women, all of whom went missing on the day of a first snowfall. As his investigation deepens, something else emerges: he is becoming a pawn....

"The Snowman" was my second Nesbo novel. I added several more to my wish list after hearing the first. This is another excellent Hole story - what a flawed but fascinating character. I'm eager to move on to the others, although I'll be taking a long break with "Edge of Eternity."
