For two years, Justice Turnbull has paced his room at Halo Valley Security Hospital, planning to escape. Justice has a mission - one that began with a vicious murder two decades ago. And there are so many others who must be sent back to the hell that spawned them. Laura Adderley didn’t plan to get pregnant by her soon-to-be ex-husband, though she’ll do anything to protect her baby. But now reporter Harrison Frost is asking questions about the mysterious group of women who live at Siren Song lodge. Harrison hasn’t figured out Laura’s connection to the story yet.

    Mitch says: "Best narrator ever!"
"Nice listen - somewhat irritating narrator"
    Overall

I won't go into a long diatribe regarding this book and get straight to the point. All in all, a good storyline with strong characters. But the narrator made everyone but the main characters, childish, rude, angry with bad attitudes. The sarcastic tone she used was very irritating at times. If you can get past that, I think you'll enjoy the book.

Mickey Haller has fallen on tough times. He expands his business into foreclosure defense, only to see one of his clients accused of killing the banker she blames for trying to take away her home. Mickey puts his team into high gear to exonerate Lisa Trammel, even though the evidence and his own suspicions tell him his client is guilty. Soon after he learns that the victim had black market dealings of his own, Haller is assaulted, too - and he's certain he's on the right trail. Despite the danger and uncertainty, Haller mounts the best defense of his career in a trial where the last surprise comes after the verdict is in.

A great book! Didn't want to stop listening! Another reason Michael Connelly is my favorite mystery/thriller author!

A User says: "The book is good, this recording is not"
    "lacking"
    Overall

If you have read or listened to Diana Gabaldon's unabridged versions of three books prior to this, don't listen to this! For starters, the narrator is NO Davina Porter!!!! This abridged version is lacking in substance and the story is so changed! I haven't found the unabridged audio version of Durms of Autumn, but I did read it! Don't deny yourself the entire story!!!
