Couldn't get into the first book so I didn't even try this one and returned it right away.

I read this book back when it was first published and have always had a fondness for it thanks to its different take on the Dracula tale as well as the spin of Jack the Ripper. I figured I would try the audio version of it and I wasn't disappointed.

It isn't the best vampire tale I've ever read but I do like it a lot. I liked the alternate history the author created and I enjoyed the appearances of various people one would recognize from both reality and fiction.

The narrator wasn't bad but at times when using accents it was a little hard to understand if you weren't paying attention.

In the end it was worth the $5 I paid for it but I don't think I would continue the series because I had always felt this book was just fine as a standalone.

I was glad to have two stories in one for this installment to the Iron Druid series! I was slightly amused by the sneak peak we got for the next full length book in the series. And! I loved visiting with Atticus and Oberon once again.

If you are a fan of the series, don't miss out on this because the great Luke Daniels is back to give the voices we love to the characters we know. If you haven't read the series? Well then you can start with this if you like because it doesn't spoil any of the following books.

If you like urban fantasy, this series is great and different in the fact that its told by a druid. It's fun and filled with twists and turns and I can't rec it enough!

Fans of the Dresden files would enjoy it, I think. Maybe even fans of Kim Harrison and Kelley Armstrong but expect adventure and the like, not ooey gooey romance.

I was not at all disappointed in this installment. It was a great ending to the series that was satisfying. There aren't really any threads left hanging and that is a good thing. I would love to see stories about some of the other Seattle characters at some point but there is no real need unless Richelle Mead wants to take a dip back into that world.

If you have been following the series, do not skip this book! If you haven't read any of the series yet? Go start from the beginning because it is totally worth it!

Look out for laughter, tears and just all around characters you want to invest time in.

Thanks Ms. Mead, I really enjoyed Georgina's story. And Ms. Rodgers, thanks for giving a consistent and believable voice to a character I really like.

I really enjoy these books and knowing that there was only one book after this, I just didn't want this book to end. Once again I laughed and teared up during the course of the story and I have to give the author and narrator props for that.

I started the next book the day after I finished this one because I need to know how this all ends! Will Georgina get a happy ending? Or is a whole lot more heartbreak on the horizon! I have a feeling that I'll be relistening to the entire series over time :)

I wasn't sure how I was going to like this installment to the series because I figured I should be getting bored with Georgina by now. That was a silly worry because I loved her through the entire book and found myself laughing and crying through this book just as much as the first three. I plan to start book 5 tomorrow at work and I can't wait :)

I really only write these reviews to give an idea of my enjoyment and not really to give ideas about the plot because I really don't like to do that.

I will say that the end made me want to start the next book right away but it was the end of the work day for me so couldn't start it today!

I actually started to listen to this a few months ago and set it aside but boy am I glad I gave it another shot! It is seldom that fantasy stories revolve around Dwarves, in fact they are usually just background characters or a token drunkard or some other cliche. In this story we get to explore dwarves as a race. I cheered for them, I laughed out loud and I even teared up. For me it was about the characters that I couldn't help but want to hear more about them.

It is an adventure story and there are several points of views that you need to keep track of but I believe it was done very well and I eagerly await the next in the series.

If you are interested in high fantasy, this is definitely worth listening to with a clear resolution to it. Yes there are more books in the series but you aren't left hanging.

The narrator was good, giving different voices for the various characters and not once was he distracting but instead pulled me in deeper into the story.

All in all I do believe I will even give this another listen in the future.

I was not surprised by anything in this book other than where Assail's (?) storyline seemed to be going.

One of the thing about the BDB books is the world they live in and their struggles with the Lessening Society and I felt like this book didn't have a whole lot of that in it. Honestly I just don't think it was stronger than the other books but I did enjoy it.

If you're a fan of the series though, you want to read this unless the Quinn / Blay story is not your thing. If you haven't read the series? Start from the beginning and give it a shot but warning, don't listen to it without earphones especially if you are around children or are at work.

I found out about Walt Longmire thanks to the tv series which I fell in love with and because of that I had to give the books a try. I am not at all sorry that I spent money on this book even though one of the episodes I watched covered this story line.

I fell in love with the performance because it didn't take anything away from what I had already experienced thanks to the tv show and I look forward to listening to the rest of the series thanks to him.

I'm not a big mystery reader or listener but listening to this story was easy and interesting. I loved that it is told in Walt's voice and that we the listeners/readers get to learn so much about Native Americans without being preached at. And! the humor threaded through the entire book made me grin more than once during the two day listen.

All in all I definitely think this is worth a listen even if you aren't a 'western' fan like me.

I first read this book back in high school and every few years I return to it and fall in love all over again. It has been about 6 or 7 years since the last time I read it so when I saw it offered on Audible I had to give it a try. I was not at all disappointed.

This is where fans of Stephen King will disagree with me but I like Swan Song so much more than the Stand (both have that end of the world / good vs evil thing going on) but let me restate this, I like them both.

I'm not going to go into details because I don't believe in that but what I will say that if you want a story to draw you in and you liked The Stand or pretty much anything apocalyptic end of the world stories, you have to give Swan Song a shot and you won't be disappointed.

The performer does a great job with voices that did not once distract me from the story but instead drew me in further and I give him major props for that considering this is one of my favorite books of all time.

And this is all I have to say. Well other than if you listen? Get ready to fall in love with characters you can't help but cheer for and even some you will despise.

This is the first book in the series that I have listened to on audio and I did enjoy it. It fit well in with the rest of the series but I wouldn't consider it anything earth shattering, I did laugh and I did cry during the story and I am looking forward to the next book but I can't say they are the best things I have ever read. I can say they are at the top of the paranormal romance list for me though but that might be because I don't read a whole lot of romance novels. I think one of the reasons I do enjoy this series so much is because of the world Ward created and that is why I know i will listen to or read the next.

would I rec this to one of my guy friends? Um no. Would I rec it to a Dresden Files fan? Um no. Would I rec it to someone looking for something steamy with story to boot? Yeah but I'd point them to the first book to start!
