  • Baldur's Gate

    • UNABRIDGED (9 hrs and 7 mins)
    • By Philip Athans
    • Narrated By Fleet Cooper

Bhaal must be stopped! Someone is sabotaging the iron mines of the Sword Coast, pushing powerful realms toward a bloody war, and a young mercenary toward an unimaginable secret. Evil gods, giant spiders, murderous doppelgangers, flesh-eating ghouls, and wicked Zhentarim come to life in the action-packed novelization of the Baldur's Gate computer game form BioWare and Interplay.

Jason says: "Does not follow the game's story at all"
    "I loved this book!!"
Would you consider the audio edition of Baldur's Gate to be better than the print version?

Can't tell, i haven't checked the written version.

What did you like best about this story?

I loved the way it moves through the video game campaigns, and how it narrates the battles.
In addition, I really enjoyed Abdel's personality.

    Which scene was your favorite?

It might be a spoiler, so spoiler alert here.
I loved that scene when Jaheira asks Abdel if knows who killed Khalid.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would be the tag line be?

    Into the Maw of Madness

    Any additional comments?

The narrator is awesome! He probably makes all the difference, he gets really involved, in character, and makes the story so much fun.

  • Internet Riches: The Simple Money-Making Secrets of Online Millionaires

    • UNABRIDGED (8 hrs and 10 mins)
    • By Scott Fox
    • Narrated By Scott Fox

In this strategy-packed guide, top e-business consultant Scott Fox reveals the powerful but simple methods for striking it rich on the Net. Exclusive interviews with dozens of "mom and pop" entrepreneurs prove how easy it is to get started and build a million-dollar enterprise.

Richard says: "Good balanced sucess book"
    "Some interesting pointers, but ..."
What did you like best about Internet Riches? What did you like least?

I liked the stories of successful entrepreneurs, and the way he classifies the different types of businesses into categories. He finds some interesting insights by doing so. The book is a bit out of date, i looked at some of the businesses he talks about, and some are not online anymore.

Would you be willing to try another book from Scott Fox? Why or why not?

I don't think i will be reading (listening) another book from him. The book leaves to many ideas in the air, and also many statements are all around the place in the e-marketing world. In brief, it is more of the same...
Quotes like "My definition of success is making money by doing something you love" are found all around the web, and really don't provide anything to the reader/listener.

What three words best describe Scott Fox’s voice?

His voice is OK, I like the tone and the way he works with the listener through the book.

Do you think Internet Riches needs a follow-up book? Why or why not?

I really don't know, but i would definitely love to see something more original. If there is a follow up, make it something different not more of the same.
