I found this to be a challenging story to follow. I enjoyed the narration immensely but needed to relax into the non linear structure. The one thing I can recommend when listening to this is just to go with it. Don't try to figure out what is real, what is truth or what is fact; just follow IMP on her journey.
I really enjoyed the narrator. He did a brilliant job.
I adored the character of Elphaba. What an incredibly passionate, committed and strong woman and what heartbreak comes from ignorance.
John did a brilliant job narrating the Nanny character. So few narrators get the voice right for the opposite gender.
I was moved by the scene when Elphaba is being oiled by her lover. So intimate and touching as we have always seen her as evil and ugly but he sees her as exotic and wonderful.
I really struggled to read the hard copy of this book so found that the audio version gave me access to a story I really wanted to hear but would have otherwise missed out on. Perfect for audio format.
Funny, delightful, clever
Miranda - present day
Who doesn't find teenagers a little trying??? (sorry teens)
I loved listening to Miranda do her own narration but it was a little hard to listen to her doing the voice of little Miranda especially listening with ear bud headphones
I certainly had a number of laugh out loud moments and cringed at times when the stories came a little too close to home
I just adore Miranda
I would definitely recommend this book ... in fact I already have. It is sassy and takes the dramatic vampire story and lightens it up with the great attitude
Betsy of course
I love hearing the intonations and attitude that Nancy brings. My only complaint is her male character voices ... not so good but I tried not to let it bother me too much.
Undead in Style???
