Modern Day Fairytale !
It is an adult fairy tale meant to challenge, inspire and lead the reader down creative paths that have never been followed.
John Lee is ALWAYS good. But since he read Ken Folletts' "Pillars Of The Earth" so well and with such distiction, there were times when I felt like I was back in the world of Follett rather than Joyce.
Graham Joyce is an important writer for our time and none of his books should go un-read.
Riley. His perseverance in the face of adversity. His war wounds, both mental and physical as a result of WW I never hold him back from being a successful and functioning human being. His efforts are so noble.
His exceptional talent as a reader makes the characters more distinct and alive ! He is the best reader in the industry of audible books.
Please hire Dan Stevens to read as many books as possible and I'd also like to see more works by Louisa Young put into audio form.
elizabeth chadwick's books ... I love them, but audible is too slow in added new books by theses 2 fabulous historical romance writers to the "list of new books to buy"!!!
honest, emotional & very moving
pleaseeeee more emma campion !!!!!!!!!!
IT IS IN THE TOP TEN !
THE EXCITING FINALE THAT TAKES PLACE IN THE WAREHOUSE AT THE END.
Historical romance at it's best !
Please, release the final book of the rose triology, "The Winter Rose" which has already been produced by Recorded Books !!!!!!!!!!!
I love the format of "then" (1918) and now and how gracefully Lucinda Riley's words dance between the two separate time periods. Midnight Rose provides a perfect balance of historical facts mixed in with a heavy dose of romance !!!!!!!!!!
She has a wide range of charater voices and does of perfect job bouncing between the tight repressed voices of the Brits and the emotionally abadoned voices of the indian characters.
How long to we have to wait for the next Lucinda Riley book ???
She is on my list of FAV's !!!!!!!!!!!
Adventure, Romance amongst VERY interesting characters!
Christopher Scott is fast becoming one of my favorite readers !!!
elizabeth chadwick's stories of chilvary & romance never disappoint, her books are so delicious to read !!!!
I loved the writing, but even though the author was in awe of Frank Muller's narration, it drove me crazy. It's such a traditional southern gothic tale.
It screams to be read with a southern accent!
The characters. Southern gothic a la Tennesee Williams ...
Made it impossible to read!
It was and I hated B. Streisand as the therapist !!!!!!! Nick Nolte should have had
a southern accent as well !
In spite of the sale price, I still wish I had not wasted my time attempting to read it.
It's in my top ten listening list !
No, but I intend to, very soon !
It's a long book, but thanks to Juanita McMahon's performance, I flew through the story.
It's just great writing, I'm going to check out all of Sarah Walter's other books!
maybe, I think it is more appropiate for the 20 to 38 year old audience.
The colorful topic.
Barbara Kingslover's "The Poisenwood Bible". Both seem to be the most important book of their career.
