No, I have not but the narrator is what made the story for me.
I am a huge Lynda Chance fan. I like strong alpha male characters and she delivers every time. This was a great short listen.
I so loved this story better than book 1 in the series. It was touching and sad. I would not recommend this one as a standalone. The other 2 books in the series should be listened to first. Maya Banks knocked it out of the park with this one.
This is not your hearts & flowers romance. It is raw, gritty and real. If strong language, & violence is too much for you, don't purchase this one. If you want to listen to an intense heart wrenching story, this one is for you.
I think this story was good. However, the narrator totally ruined it for me. At some points in the story, if he soke SO slow I felt like just discontinuing altogether. I like the author but I will not listen to anymore of her books narrated by Peter Ohms.
This by far was the most awesomest (that's right) book ever in the series. I was so touched by the depth of emotions in both John and Xhex. I highly recommend this story. I can't wait to get started on the next story in the series.
Yes, I am a fan of her work. However, this story was not at all what I expected.
All of his character voices sounded the same.
The debasement scene in Paris. It was just awful. It was reminiscent of porn. O_o
I thought this book would be similar to FSOG. It was not. The characters were one dimensional and not very likable. The only character I liked a little was Mia and she was just a doormat. I felt like part of the story was unrealistically resolved. After this story, I am not sure if I will listen to the other 2 books in the series.
The story would have been better if it had more of a plot. The whole thing just did not make a lot of sense to me.
Yes, I would condsider giving her work another try. I was just not that impressed by this particular short story.
Not sure, the narrator in this story just sounded really winey. By the time I was half way through, I wanted to pull my hair out.
Disapointment, the story felt unfinished. I guess I just did not get it.
Jane, I found myself drawn to the character. She was relateable and very funny.
I loved her interpretation of the candidates.
I listened to the book in one sitting. I listened to it twice!! I loved all of the characters.
