Shadow's phone call the night before he was released from jail was a very raw moment. Even as a listener I was caught in a brief moment of not knowing what to do next.
Shadow and Loki were done absolute justice by their performers!
A more reasonable setting for the plot. The story was littered with unnecessary and unbelievable advancements in technology and social hierarchies that the author did not give any credentials to or explanations of. The performance was a bit flat and the recording quality was horrid, even when downloaded at high quality.
This book fostered disappointment in me. I bought into it's unbelievable plot and hung on for hours expecting it to pay off, and it never did.
If you loved Reamde like I did, do not get this book expecting a repeat performance.
