From the powerful imagination of a horror master comes a bone-chilling tale set in a small town where good and evil are joined in a terrifying, deadly battle. Once an idyllic Pennsylvania village, Pine Deep awoke one morning to find itself bathed in a massive bloodletting. Twice in 30 years, the townsfolk have endured the savage hungers of a murderous madman—but if the residents think the death of serial killer Karl Ruger put an end to the carnage, they’re dead wrong.

It keeps the pace of the first book, starting the day after the first ends.

Have you listened to any of Tom Weiner’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

No, this is my first, but not last, listen.

The cozy little town of Pine Deep buried the horrors of its past a long time ago. Thirty years have gone by since the darkness descended and the Black Harvest began, a time when a serial killer sheared a bloody swath through the quiet Pennsylvania village. The evil that once coursed through Pine Deep has been replaced by cheerful tourists getting ready to enjoy the country’s largest Halloween celebration in what is now called “The Spookiest Town in America.”

Excellent. He does a great job of individualizing each character.

If you could sum up Monster Hunter Vendetta in three words, what would they be?

This is smooth continuation from the first book. Exciting, good story, lots of detail.

Have you listened to any of Oliver Wyman’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

His performance continues to be spot-on. Easy to tell the characters apart, nuances are what make the story.

    Any additional comments?

Looking forward to hearing the next one in the series.

Five days after Owen Zastava Pitt pushed his insufferable boss out of a 14th story window, he woke up in the hospital with a scarred face, an unbelievable memory, and a job offer. It turns out that monsters are real. All the things from myth, legend, and B-movies are out there, waiting in the shadows. Some of them are evil, and some are just hungry. Monster Hunter International is the premier eradication company in the business. And now Owen is their newest recruit.

Would you listen to Monster Hunter International again? Why?

Yes. It was much better than I thought it would be. It appeared it might be just a run of the mill monster story, but it's much more. Believable plot line and characters, really holds your interest.

What does Oliver Wyman bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

The voices, the voices, and the voices.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

Not really moved, just surprise after surprise.

Her career in homicide has taken her into the darkest depths of New York City’s underground - and sometimes Lieutenant Eve Dallas feels more comfortable in those kinds of places than in the high-rise, high-society world of her billionaire husband, Roarke. But while she’s no party girl, she’s managing to have a reasonably good time at the celebrity-packed bash celebrating the debut of The Icove Agenda. This time it’s Eve, not Roarke, who’s a guest of honor, since the film is based on one of her famous cases. Her partner, Peabody, is practically giddy....
