This is my favorite fantasy/romance series. I have read all of Sherrilyn Kenyon's "Hunter" books and I was thrilled to find some of the earlier books (that made me a devoted fan of hers) on Audio. If you like this genre don't hesitate. You won't be sorry. Pretty soon you will be collecting all of the "Hunter" books you can find.
I loved the story but the narration and production was very well done. I would have to say the whole package!
It's different and thanks to the author's talent this "world" is not too complex to understand.
That I totally forgot I was listening to an audio book.
I am disappointed. A friend said they loved this author and highly recommended this book.
I am half way through the audiobook and I feel like I still don't have a good feel for the story line. Either there are portions missing or the author failed to build a good foundation for the rest of the story. I don't know if I can stick it out to the end.
I think the narration could be better as well. The narrator is ok but her presentation of this story is not very appealing.
I recommend this book and the Black Jewels series to anyone who likes well written fantasy. You won't be disappointed. I waited until the whole series (to date) was released in audio and started with book 1 (recommended) and listened to all of the books in order. I was absolutly enthralled. Anne Bishop just became my favorite author.
John Sharian is outstanding as a narrator of this series. He does a wonderful job with all of the different voices/characters but deserves special notice for his depiction of the High Lord and Daemon. Thanks for this great audio production!!
The plot in this book shows worlds of promise. The plot and the scant humor is all I liked about this book. The writing reflected an immaturity that almost put me to sleep during the more dramatic parts of the book. And....I am really tired of hearing THAT four letter word so much. A little bit to create mood or character goes a long way.
Dangerous Tides continues the story of the "magical sisters". I enjoyed this book as I have the others preceding it in the series. In this genre Christine Feehan is one of the best at keeping the reader's attention. I am puzzled as always when a series type audio book comes out in the middle of the series. If it is a book I like then I am compelled to go out and buy the other books at the bookstore instead of buying the audio version. Hmmmm.
