Could you survive on your own, in the wild, with everyone out to make sure you don't live to see the morning? In the ruins of a place once known as North America lies the nation of Panem, a shining Capitol surrounded by 12 outlying districts. The Capitol is harsh and cruel and keeps the districts in line by forcing them all to send one boy and one girl between the ages of 12 and 18 to participate in the annual Hunger Games, a fight to the death on live TV.

    "Adults should read this book!"
    Overall

My teenager convinced me to read this book because she was reading it in class, and I am so glad she did. This is one of the best books I have read in a long time. The author is a great storyteller. It is sad and exciting and gripping. the story of a girl trying to survive against all odds being against her. The characters grab your imagination and hold on. I recommend this book to all adults, its not just and adolescent story.

James and Maxine have done it again! This is a great read just like most of thier work together. The story itself grabs you from the very beginning and holds on throughout the whole book. The characters are great and you really get invested in the story. The readers do a great job of getting the story right as well. Would reccomend this book to all.

A calculating killer who calls himself The Teacher is taking on New York City, killing the powerful and the arrogant. His message is clear: remember your manners or suffer the consequences! For some, it seems that the rich are finally getting what they deserve. For New York's elite, it is a call to terror.

Only one man can tackle such a high-profile case: Detective Mike Bennett. The pressure is enough for anyone, but Mike also has to care for his ten children-all of whom have come down with virulent flu at once!

Discovering a secret pattern in The Teacher's lessons, Detective Bennett realizes he has just hours to save New York from the greatest disaster in its history.

    Overall

This book kept me at the edge of my seat the whole time. The author made you love the good guys and hate the bad guys. The narrators did a great job of telling the story in a way that captures your interest through out the whole story. I would love to read more stories about Detective Michael Bennett. He is a great character. Keep up the great work!!
