Technology has advanced in 2060 New York City, but childbirth has been the same since the beginning of time. And despite the brutal double homicide on Lieutenant Eve Dallas' caseload, she has to be there for her pregnant friend, Mavis, even if it means throwing the dreaded baby shower. But Mavis needs an even bigger favor now. Tandy Willowby, one of the moms-to-be in her class, has gone missing, just days before her due date.

Always a good story, but readers voice is very annoying when she does her side kick.

Julie Newcomb has been called back to the birthplace of her worst memories, to be a companion to the one person she fears most. The truth lies somewhere on her grandmother's crumbling plantation, as real and terrifying as the two skeletons lying together in the swampy shadows of Deadman's Hollow.

Never listened to Barbara Michaels stories before usually use books at night to keep from hearing my husband snore. This was too good for that didn't want to sleep. I saved it for day time listening.

Loved hearing about the old house and wondered what was going to happen next.

Agatha Raisin has never been one for forced holiday cheer, but her friendly little village of Carsely has always prided itself on its traditional Christmas festivities. But this year the bells will not be ringing out, as Mr. John Sunday, an officer with the Cotswold Health and Safety Board, has chosen Christmas as the time to crack down on safety hazards. But Mr. Sunday is soon found face down in the petunias, very much dead.
