In this inspirational work, best-selling author and lecturer Wayne W. Dyer shows you how to restore balance in your life by offering nine principles for realigning your thoughts so that they correspond to your highest desires. Imagine a balance scale with one end weighted down to the ground, and the other end—featuring the objects of your desires—sticking up precariously in the air. This scale is a measurement of your thoughts.

What could have made this a 4 or 5-star listening experience for you?

The contents and presentation were perfectly inline with where I am today.

What was most disappointing about Wayne W. Dyer’s story?

It met my expectations and went beyond with fresh and useful suggestions.

Who would you have cast as narrator instead of Wayne W. Dyer?

Don't know. Prefer Dr. Dyer as far as I know.

If you could play editor, what scene or scenes would you have cut from Being In Balance?

Any self-promotion which was minimal and perhaps required by his publishing company.

In Excuses Begone! Dr. Wayne W. Dyer reveals how to change lifelong, self-defeating thinking patterns that prevent you from living at the highest levels of success, happiness, and health. You may know what to think but find it terribly difficult to change thinking habits that have been with you since childhood. This business of changing habituated thinking patterns is really the business of eliminating the same old tired excuses.

Where does Excuses Begone! rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

I didn't align as quickly with Excuses Begone! as some of Dr. Dyer's other writings, but gained helpful insight to living peacefully none the less.

What other book might you compare Excuses Begone! to and why?

Excuses Begone! harmoniously reflects Byron Katie's A Thousand Names for Joy: Living in Harmony with the Way Things Are. It is always good for me to hear something put several different ways so that I'm sure to get what is intended for me to retain.

What does Wayne W. Dyer bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

Not sure how to answer this as I believe that I hear exactly what is intended for me to hear for my best peaceful comfort.

What did you learn from Excuses Begone! that you would use in your daily life?

I learned an interesting practice of contemplating myself as I already am and noticing how God blesses me with experiences in everyday life to confirm my contemplations.

The Shift is a call to become more conscious, to move from aimless ambition to meaning and purpose. Making this Shift is a necessity in order to live a peaceful, fulfilling life aligned with your divine calling. In this deeply engaging live seminar, Dr. Wayne W. Dyer explains that instead of heeding the demands of the ego, which keep you mired in self-sabotage through never-ending pleas and false promises, you can choose to move in a new direction.

If you could sum up Making the Shift in three words, what would they be?

    Awareness & Alignment Aid

What was one of the most memorable moments of Making the Shift?

The chapters that spoke to this compulsive eater were acutely inspiring and useful.

    Which scene was your favorite?

The chapter on sugar would be a nugget to someone who hadn't been exposed to this knowledge already and was in the right place to receive the help. I knew of the sugar detriment and found the hearing a good reminder and reinforcer of my understanding.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

Some parts were so in alighment with my journey it was profuoud. I accepted it for its reality of me being in the exact right spot of awareness to receive it gratefully.

    Any additional comments?

The parts that I found non-useful are simply that way for me and are my story of them. I wasn't ready to receive them at this time. I don't reject them and know that they are right for another. I know this because they are in the reading.
