no audio performance was well done
Writer needs to write appropriately for the age of her characters. You can not reveal the ages of the characters to be 17 and 15 and then continue to write them like they are no older than 12. Characters were made out to be way too childish for their ages. It became rather annoying and frustrating at times when following the plot.
I have been impressed by Brandon Sanderson's writting in the past. He is very good at writting a compeling story that will draw you in. I was a fan of his Mistborn series, and really enjoyed all the books in it, and I have to say I think from this frist book that The Stormlight Archive will be even better. Every time I started listening to it, it would draw me in and I would find myself wanting to find out what would happen next, and listening to it at night was dangerous for me, because I would find myself having trouble turning it off to go to sleep. I think this is his best book to date and shows a new level of maturity in his writing. He did a beautiful job of telling multiple stories at once and did a wonderful job transitioning from one story to the next. This might partly be accredited to his taking over the WOT series, and have to adapted his writting to Robert Jordan's style, but if that is the case he has learned very quickly and has proven his tremendous skills in this book and the WOT book "The Gathering Storm". And I can not help but give him credit for being able to write such a wonderful book while also tring to complete the WOT series. That is a lot of work and pressure for one writter to under take.
