Lizette suddenly is remembering her secret past~

Lizette is very ill and takes a day off work. What she cannot explain is why she does not know her own face. She is awere of having some very interesting hidden "talents" and is aware she is being "monitored" finding some bugs in her home and GPS in her car. She just is not sure WHY. As the cloud of her memory "clears" she is suddenly in danger. Using her HIDDEN TALENTS she flees for her life. Hot on her trail is Black Ops Xavier who has also been monitoring Lizzie and is now her protector. ** SPOILER** DO not read this unless you want to learn the plot*** Lizzie was part of an ultra secret detail of the President and first lady. When a murder happens Lizzie has her memory "erased /wiped" and is given a new life. but the MEMORY WIPE is not perminent as they planned. now someone is out to kill Lizzie to make sure all her memories "die with her". On the run and Xavier hot on her trail has Lizzie eluding both a KILLER and Xavier. This is a first rate plot right down to the killing and cover up. As well as the "memory" erase. Lizzie is one of Howards BEST heroines and Xavier is her match in every way. This one is excellent and one of the better Howard books. I give this one 5 STARS for PLOT, 5 STARS for READER ~ Carrington McDuffie is first rate and holds us following the facinating look the world of Black Ops. EXCELLENT.

Carlin Reed lives in fear, off the grid, moving from place to place. So Battle Ridge, Wyoming, a small town in the middle of nowhere, seems like a good place to lie low for a while. But after becoming cook and housekeeper to cattle rancher Zeke Decker, Carlin suspects that she’s made her first mistake. Rugged, sexy, and too distracting for his own good, Zeke is pure temptation mixed with something deep and primal that makes Carlin feel almost safe. Soon things are getting way too hot in the kitchen.

on the run Carlin finds safety and romance with Zeke the hot rancher~

Carlin is clearly a woman who knows how to "hide" ~ she carries all she needs to make an escape in her coat and moves into a Podunk Wyoming town~ sliding under the radar job as waitress for cash, she ends up houskeeper for sexy rancher Zeke Decker. Brad the ex cop stalker uses the internet to keep track and find the elusive Carlin. Locked doors and weapons in every room has Carlin feel slightly more secure in the remote ranch. Zeke soon has his "fantasy" life take the human form of lovely Carllin and we have some humorous looks into his mind as his NO touch policy is "revised." LOL This one is one of the BETTER Howard books in recent years along with Howard /Jones Combo author this is a very good romantic suspense romance. There is a hero and heroine by play we love and the humor and sparks are first rate. Plot is well done and flows along. I give this one 5 STAR FOR PLOT, 5 STAR FOR PERFORMANCE AND 5 STAR FOR fun couple who heat up the winter in the Wyoming snow. Three years ago, Dare returned home to rural western Montana and opened a hunting business to rival Angie’s. Complicating matters is the fact that Dare has asked Angie out (not once but twice) and has given her a gift of butterflies in the process. Angie has no patience for butterflies. They only lead to foolish decisions. And now the infuriatingly handsome Iraq war vet has siphoned away Angie’s livelihood, forcing her to close up shop. Before Angie is to leave town, she organizes one last trip into the wilderness....

Now Angie is on the run and Dare finds her. The two struggle through a storm but find shelter and the real "heat" between Dare and Angie is lights UP. A storm struck on the night Laura Shane was born, and there was a strangeness about the weather that people would remember for years. PLOT: Tragedy marks Laura's Life but can lightening change it?

Laura is a child when tragedy finds her an orphan. Laura fieels her guardian is a man who appears when lightening "strikes" who saved her when she was a child. Now in an orphanage she again is "saved" by the same man. An adult Laura married with a son again finds her fate changed by the "lightening man" from the past. This is an excellent audio. I am now a major Kootz fan. Laura fate in the orphanage is both dramatic tragic and well done. the ADDED bonus of her "guardian" who shows up to avoid fate adds to the story. This is a very good story with good plotting. Full of twists and turns and flows along well. Koontz is the master of description and character development. I would have liked about 5 hours less of filler but worth the entire listen for the end of a well done story. I liked the reader. Koontz tosses in some historic fact along the way and adds the occasional dark humor. I loved it. I GIVE IT 5 FOR STORY 4 FOR PERFORMANCE AND 4 FOR OVER ALL horror thriller that is one of Koontz trade mark thrillers GREAT audio.

When a Guest at Cate's B&B disappears along with the mysterious FLASHDRIVE he carries along with him. Cate and the entire town of Trailstop are soon under siege with a para miliary gang who want the flash drive at all costs. This is a fun. Cate is clueless that handiman Calvin one of the most laid back of all Howards stud hunks is hopeless in love with her, and he is barely on any ones radar. When he drops 2 men with guns to save Cate we learn the quiet guy is ex military. The shy handiman turn hero is very good in this one. I give this 4 STARS for first rate story and characters and very good reader~ and one of the more interesting characters Calvin who shows us sometimes the quiet ones are the most fun.

SEXY Vampire Luca is soon is protecting a human Chloe who he finds not only sexy but needs his help. When he finds the rogue vampires will kill her he bonds with her a ceremony that offers her his protection and safety. This drags on and on. This would have made a great 8 hour audio and more than double that it is a *chore* to stay involved. Luca and Chloe are the center and we are listen to hear the end of their tale but this need far less filler characters and more story. the final battle is good and the ending leaves this open for a follow up we just need to hope they decide to make it a shorter. READER was very good. I give this 3 STARS and this is not one of Howards better audios.

In the summer of 1962, 19-year-old Mimi Beardsley arrived by train in Washington, D.C., to begin an internship in the White House press office. The Kennedy Administration had reinvigorated the capital and the country - and Mimi was eager to contribute. For a young woman from a privileged but sheltered upbringing, the job was the chance of a lifetime. Mimi made an impression on Kennedy's inner circle and, after just three days at the White House, she was presented to the President himself....

Mimi a 19 year old intern is procured by Davd Powers~ the "pimp" of JFK~

a woman 40 years later is discovered as willing mistress of JFK. Mimi starts her job as a press aid in the White House and on day 3 ends up in Jackie Kenndys suite and having willing sex with the President. Mimi is flattered and excited by the act rather than revolted. She continues a year or so "empty" sexual affair with JFK. She finds every excuse why she likes it and wants to continue. There is no tenderness or kindness in the acts mearly a release for the President. What makes the one the disgusting is how she also gives oral sex to Powers with JFK watching~ and makes herself "available" to them even after she falls in love with a nice man and becomes engaged. This is a story of narcisstic people on both sides. She loves attention and even the pleasure of meaningless sex. She is both self absorbed when she gives her reasons for continuing her sexual dalliance with a man of power. if you want a meaningless sex tale with Kennedy this is the story for you. I found the author most unlikeable. and the reader's flat affect is not on my list of favorite readers from her on out. Oddly the ONLY emotion that the author shows is after the DEATH of the President. 2 STARS is the highest I could give this one. a LOUSY audiobook.

This starts with some review of Kennedy in the Pacific. and moves to the Kennedy Legacy including the shady Joseph Kennedy and his legacy to his sons. They HAD to suceed. John Kennedy is a handsome well educated man with an drive for SEX and politics in that order. His claim he gets "headaches" if he does not have SEX every day is pretty much repeated throughout the audio. The Private life of Kennedy and Jackie is told in very good detail including the affairs and down and uptimes in the White House. It covers the Bay of Pigs and the Cuban Missle Crisis. What makes this different and gives US the BEST look at the shooter~~~ Lee Harvey Oswald. His life including time in Russia and communist leanings. As the enchanted look into absolute power of Kennedy and he shining appearance of President who at best was very ill and hid it. The secret service has the excuse covering up in every way for Kennedy is in this book is mostly financial. This moves along very fast because Bill OReilly is a fast talker and reader. This book never drags at all. The details are clear and lead to the final fate of the death of Kennedy and the events leading up and beyond that day in Dallas. I GIVE THIS 5 STAR FOR STORY ~ READER AND OVER ALL excellent details of new info on Oswald we have no read or heard of before. VERY good audiobook.

Arnold's Bio~ This starts with his life as a boy in Austria with a less than close relationship with his father. His drive to get ahead by body building which takes him by storm as a teenager. While other boys had girl pin ups Arnold has american body builds in his room leading his mother to worry about his sexuality. His "goal" was to become a body builder and win the biggest titles using this to gain wealth and move to the USA and become a movie star. His very intelligent approach to business and his amazing ability to FOCUS. As his body becomes huge he wins several World Titles and he ends up in LA at the Gold Gym he read about in his teens. He sets up a mail order business selling body building phamplets His first efforts in the movies was PUMPING IRON which caught the attention of the Hollywood crowd. He becomes a millionaire and invested in buildings and land. He gets an education taking business courses. He became an American Citizen. At a fund raiser he comes in contact with the lovely Maria Shriver. He evenutally marries. His movie career takes off to make him the highest paid and biggest box office star. Arnold makes his own decisions even after he is married. He decided not to tell Maria he needed open heart surgery. He was planning on running on the republican ticket for Governor of California and told Maria only *days* before his David Letterman annoucement. Arnold is at best brilliant but perhaps is the worlds great salesman. He can sell himself in bodybuilding, acting, and republican governor in a very democratic state. He finally confessed a life changing "secret" the day after was no longer governor. He has a 14 year old son with his housekeeper. He stated he only suspected the boy was his after the boy was 7. Arnold has a trick he uses throughout his book. His ablity to ignore anything that would cause him trouble. He puts in a "compartment" in his mind and trys his best to keep it "under raps". Arnold comes across as a very intelligent and interesting man. His EGO is as big as he is. We see the flaws in this bigger than life man and his secrets that help destroy his marriage. Arnold at best is a survivor. This is an excellent audiobook. It is very well written and the story flows along. The Reader Stephen Lang is very good and Arnold reads parts himself. I give this 5 STARS over all for a better than I ever expected Bio.

PLOT: a marine green beret claims 4 hippis killed his family in a manson type murder.

BASED on a real life event. Dr. Jeffrey MacDonald is a green beret officer and his pregnant wife and children are murdered. Dr. MacDonald escapes with a few wounds. BEFORE the CSI forensics of today you name the flub it happened from important clues being dumped in the trash or moved or tampered with. When the horrific scene of the family killed in a bizarre way the only one alive is Dr. MacDonald who's story changes each time he tells it. AT first there is no real tie in and the military police who do not want to prosecute him he goes 10 years or more before a grand jury indites him. MacDonald hired an author to write his "version" of the story to raise money for his legal fees soon has the author deciding maybe he really did do it. The audio is a bit of a bore with a tiresome reader. I give it 3 STARS all the way. Dr. MacDonald is currently in prison for the murders and is up for parole~ this fall.
