The events that followed changed her life forever. Twelve years later, the woman now known as Abigail Lowery lives alone on the outskirts of a small town in the Ozarks. A freelance programmer, she works at home designing sophisticated security systems.

PLOT: Security Expert Abigail now is her OWN best protection from her secret past~

TEENAGE Genius Elizabeth MAKES HER OWN FAKE ID~ and goes clubbing with her friend. AND becomes a witness to a Russian Mob hit has her on the run.

12 years later~Abigail is a recluse in the Ozarks and "attracts" the attention of local law Books Gleason when he spots her gun under her shirt. the "mysterious" security expert complete with big guard dog, video surveillance, and quiet life ADDS to her mystery. Abigails past is the key to her present. Abigail is a genius with an IQ over 200 was the ONLY living witness to a mob hit and now hiding.

This a first rate mystery. Elizabeth /Abigail is one of Nora Roberts MOST interesting heroines. Raised by an intelligent cold mother who failed to love her~ gives her a solitary lonely adult life. Her only comfort is her security dog and computer. She is both interesting and fun as we watch her BLOOM with the contact with Brooks and others in the small community she lives by. Her mysterious past is both entertaining and facinating. The Mystery and romance move along very well and a has first rate ending. I GIVE this one 4 STARS for HEROINE we love, Hero who bridges the quiet world of Abigail. What makes this one of Nora Roberts better heroines is the facinating look into a genius who discovers the simple joys of life and love as an adult.

What do Chelsea Lattimer and David Winter have in common? Aside from both being single, attractive, and successful...absolutely nothing! She's an outspoken, free-spirited romance novelist. He's a physician, with a blue-blood pedigree and all the proper seriousness of his profession.

Chelsey a very successful romance writer ends up with David the hot ER Doc...and the road to romance has plenty of bumps. This is a fun little romance and holds the interest. I give it 3 out of 5 for early Colter romances. also try After Shocks by Catherine Coulter.

What does it mean to be a Kennedy? If ever three women would be challenged and changed by marriage into a family, it would be Jacqueline Bouvier, Ethel Skakel, and Joan Bennett. None of these radiant brides could have ever been prepared for the fame, the family, and tragedies that would spring from their lives. As they struggled to cope with their husbands' infidelities, the harsh glare of the media, and the assassinations of John and Robert Kennedy, these women would learn what it meant to be sisters, reaching out to one another with comfort and consolation.

In 1942, the Brooklyn-born Erickson was a millionaire oil mogul who volunteered for a dangerous mission inside the Third Reich: Locating the top-secret synthetic oil plants that kept the German war machine running. To fool the Nazis, Erickson played the role of a collaborator. He hung a portrait of Hitler in his apartment and "disowned" his Jewish best friend, then flew to Berlin, where he charmed Himmler and signed lucrative oil deals with the architects of the Final Solution.

Sallie wondered if Rhy would recognize her after seven years. She'd lost weight, loosened up and turned her talents to news reporting for one of the nation's leading magazines. After all this time, would Rhy Baines, the news publisher, recognize his wife? Sallie Jerome, a.k.a. Mrs. Baines, had picked up the pieces of shattered dreams after Rhy walked out. She'd become the independent, self-possessed woman he'd always wanted. Only now, she didn't want him. Or did she?

PLOT: Sallie Jerome has her estranged husband become her new Boss.....

early Linda Howard and not one of her best....Sallie Jerome aka Sarah....used to be a plump woman who married sexy Rhy. He soon found his travels as a world class journalist more interesting than his little frumpy wife. After she looses her baby she and Rhy part ways........ 9 years later Sarah is now Sallie and still married but only her close friend know it. She is now a slender intelligent reporter and loves her job. When Rhy shows up.... she has not seen in years becomes her new boss she is not happy by any means. She tried to avoid him hoping he will not recognize her. When Rhy soon curtails her adventuresome reporting she gets bored. Rhy wants to get close to Sallie but she find he has a mistress Coral. This is a very dated book complete with "hero Rhy" who we do not like and is very dominate mentally and physically with Sallie. This story is interesting but this early Linda Howard is not one of her best. What makes this book AWEFUL is the reader. I have no idea why Dreamscape is not getting this right. This woman is the WORSE reader in all the hundreds of books I have ever heard. She is speeds up and then way down and then goes to Minnie mouse....LOL...bad....I did the fair thing and listened to the whole book but ONLY because of Linda Howard.....I would not bother with this one....and I can ONLY give it a 1 STARS because of Linda Howard and that is being generous. AVOID this LEMON.....even sugar would 'not' help it. Try Mr. Perfect.....and know what a good audiobook by Linda Howard is......

Here is a gripping, behind-the-scenes look inside the classic suspense shocker Psycho - and the creative genius who revolutionized filmmaking. First released in June 1960, Psycho altered the landscape of horror films forever. But just as compelling as the movie itself is the story behind it. Stephen Rebello brings to life the creation of one of Hollywood’s most iconic films, from the story of Wisconsin murderer Ed Gein, the real-life inspiration for the character of Norman Bates, to Hitchcock’s groundbreaking achievements in cinematography, sound, editing, and promotion.

    Story

Plot: soapy look a the Master of suspense.

1959 and cinema is changing. Studios are looking for cheaper budgets that bring in huge profits. Alfred Hitchcock is looking for his next "project"....and comes across a book about an early serial killer from Wisconsin. The then 'shocking' murders combined with sex and transvestite behavior is all unheard of. So Hitchcock acquires the "right" the murder bio of serial killer Ed Gein. the studios do not want to make this movie....refuse to finance it so Hitchcock takes the huge gamble to finance it himself. He swears the actors and film crew to secrecy about the excellent plot and soon starts to film the classic horror movie Psycho. This goes behind the scenes and gives us details of Hitchcock and his wife and often behind scenes partner Alma. As the methodical shots and plot are given "the masters touch" he also battles for the first time some nudity and blood and yes even a toilet for the first time in film. this is a very good book. You have to like Hitchcock to enjoy it. The plot is most entertaining and gives us look into 1960s life and mentality. His over the top marketing of the film that made him RICH and put this movie as one of the best horror movies ever. I give it 4 STARS.....
