This is the true story of Emily Colson, a single mother who has faced life's toughest obstacles. This is also the story of her nineteen-year-old autistic son, Max, a young man who struggles to speak, who some professionals deemed a waste of time. But a young man with a gift. Journey with Emily through this unabridged audio download as she shows how Max unraveled the thinking of those who tried to teach him and help him, a lesson that the seemingly weak people can be more powerful than the strong.

an enjoyable easy read. we who have autism in a family member will relate. I gave it one less star for being whiney at times.

This is a tale of sorrow, a tale of survival, a tale of one man's search for meaning in his universe, and how that search, and the indomitable will that drove it, gave birth to a legend.

    Story

the story is interesting. It was slow to start and did drag at times but overall a good tale. different enough from others of this genre to be intriguing and luring me into get the second book. The main character is whiney at times but we are reminded often enough that he is very young to be in his circumstance so it is excusable. A little magic, a little intrigue, an elusive and mysterious group of bad guys, this story pretty much has it all.
