Before Desirmor came and broke the peace of the Alexidus monarchy with his army of dark beasts, Princess Harmony Alexidus spoke a prophecy of his rise and fall. He would destroy the warriors of the Harven Mountains. He would make the princess his eternally unwilling bride. Then he would wrap the world in a veil of darkness so tight, the people would forget that light ever existed.

Hank is a thug. He knows he's a thug. He has no problem with that realization. In his view the galaxy has given him a gift: a mutation that allows him to withstand great deals of physical trauma. He puts his abilities to the best use possible and that isn't by being a scientist. Besides, the space station Belvaille doesn't need scientists. It is not, generally, a thinking person's locale. It is the remotest habitation in the entire Colmarian Confederation. There is literally no reason to be there.

Zeke is a homeless guy with an exotic metal plate in his head, living rough in a backstreet. Zirkos is an alien who needs the plate to rebuild his ship's AI. Zirkos should just take the plate and go, but instead finds a way of achieving his own ends without harming Zeke. His actions kickstart a chain of events that will dramatically change the course of Earth's future. The Nubl are an artificial space-faring race with a 'hive' intellect who abhor biological sentience. They will eradicate humanity with extreme prejudice.

Even though it was over 10 years ago, I still remember it like it was yesterday. I had no idea how I had gotten there - standing in my living room, the house packed in boxes, unsigned divorce papers in my hand. I remember not being able to look at the pictures of my kids with their beaming, playful, innocent smiles. It killed me inside to feel the sheer pain of loss as it finally hit me that I had reached the end of my marriage. After a year of hard work on both sides, my wife and I found restoration and renewal and we fell in love even more deeply.

This is a great resource for anyone wanting to learning how to create a stronger marriage. It covers things like why men and women are so different, how to handle conflict etc. I thought it was great how it explained how many couples drift apart after marriage, and then gave practical steps to get closer. I find myself using what I've learned here often.

Jake Taylor was a New Hampshire farm boy who wanted nothing more than to marry his girlfriend, work on the farm, and maybe one day write a great novel. But mankind was fighting the alien Tegeri and their bio-mechanical cyborg soldiers, and UN Central needed men…men to go to war on hostile worlds far from home. Jake wasn't given a choice, not a real one. He found himself torn from home and family, conscripted for life and shipped to the planet Erastus to take his place in the battle lines, never to return.

Women want to be in love, get married, and live happily ever after. Yet disrespect for men and disregard for the value, feelings, and needs of husbands has fast become the standard for male-female relations in America. Those two attitudes clash in unfortunate ways to create struggle and strife in what could be a beautiful relationship.

Driven to create a resource to help those struggling in marriage, after nearly losing his own over 10 years ago, William Taylor has developed a comprehensive program to help couples avoid divorce and how to be happy in marriage. Volume 1 covers why marriage seems easy at first, how to reconnect, how to bring back feelings of acceptance and how we fall in and out of love over time; how our expectations, life's stressors and the busyness of life can affect our marriage; how to effectively communicate and how to manage conflict effectively - and much more.

What made the experience of listening to How to Have a Happy and Fulfilling Marriage, Vol. 1 the most enjoyable?

I think the way the author writes from his own perspective and struggles in marriage, and then throws in interesting stories, and great information really makes it enjoyable to read. Also the narrator is pretty easy to listen too!

What did you like best about this story?

I liked the story, because it is a story that I have lived out in my own marriage, and is one that is full of hope. That there is away and the hundreds of little questions that are answered along the way, makes it great.

What does Jason Leech bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

Again, he really has a good voice. I've heard other audio books that sounded very dry and boring, and I had to kinda "force myself" to keep listening, This guys voice sounds really good and easy to listen to. I don't know if I would have read it the way he does.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

There was a moment where the wife just feels like giving up, and doesn't care anymore, she thinks "fine let him do his own thing" and it just took me back to where I'd reach a similar place in my own marriage.

    Any additional comments?

Thought this was really helpful in letting me see why things are the way they are in my marriage and then how I can change them for the better.
