"16 years old"
If you are a 16 year old girl you will love this book. I'm not, so I thought all of the character's ideas of what love should be like were silly.
"awesome"
It isn't a comprehensive history about the SEALS or a top to bottom description of who they are today. Its a story about a guy's life with most of the book being about his time as a SEAL. I loved it. It was fascinating to hear about all of the things these guys go trough to become a SEAL
"boring"
The cover should have been of a guy on a horse or two people embracing. That way it could be identified as the sappy romance novel that it is. I couldn't finish it. So, maybe it got better, but I was not impressed at all.
"unique"
The characters are very unique and not stereotypical at all. That makes for a great book when you cant predict everything they are gonna do.
"Crying"
I thought for sure this book was gonna make me cry. Then when I first turned it on and the little kid voice came on, I would have bet a thousand dollars that I was gonna be crying by the end of the book. But I didn't. It was a good book and the innocence of a child makes all of the horrible things seem bearable.
"Give it a chance"
After the first 2 hours of this book I didn't think I would be able to finish it. It seemed like an exercise in the mundane. The narrator talked a lot more about the feelings and thoughts of the character than any substantive dialog or interaction. After the 3rd or 4th hour I was hooked. I later realized that the beginning was really a good explanation of the characters mind sets. Without it, later in the book you would be cussing at the book for the decisions the characters were making. But the beginning puts you in the right frame of mind to empathize with the characters and understand the "why" behind their actions.
"30 hours"
At first I was leery about the length of the book but it turned out to not even be a factor. By the time the 30 hours were up I was still wanting more.
I will say though that there were some parts that I fast forwarded trough because of the graphic sexual descriptions used. But, if you can get past them or if they don't bother you, then you will certainly enjoy the plot.
I also had reservations about the number of characters described in the summery. Some books tell a story in many parts and all of the characters converge at the end but this one is just the opposite and is there for much easier to keep up with. The book starts with one character and then branches off to other characters trough interaction in the same setting. The author also reiterates names and certain details so that there is no confusion about what is going on but not so much that the writing becomes redundant.
All in all a very good book. Can't wait to read the next one.
"Very good read"
I think that if he had been this candid about why he made the decisions he made then I think the American people would have supported him more. He never explained himself this well while he was in office. It reminded me why I liked him to begin with. If you never liked him at all then I don't know if it will be a good read for you or not.
"Compleetly Awesome"
This was one of the best books I've read this year. The details and back story on the agents make the narration of the assassination come to life in such a way that you are emotionally tied to the event. I cried like I was living it, and this took place 20 years before I was born. The book was so blunt in its description of love and disdain for different characters by different agents that I cant imagine it being anything but the god honest truth.
"big words"
I like big words but they can prove challenging when listened to rather than read. This book has a lot of them. Its not something you can listen to casually. I had to pay close attention to it but it was very good.
