I have listened to most of the books in this series and this final book did not disappoint. I started listening and did not stop until the story ended. If I had any complaints it would be that this book is abridged, and because of that I feel that some details were missed, even still, this book is well worth the time and credits.

"Slow in the Beginning, Rushed at the End"
    Overall

This is a pretty good book, the reason why I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is because the story is kinda of slow at the beginning, but not too slow as to make me want to stop listening but slow enough that if a missed a few seconds or minutes of the story I didn't worry about about rewinding it to see of I missed anything. To me the ending was very rushed. It seemed like only the last two chapters addressed rapping the story up. All in all it is worth a credit and it is an enjoyable story.

Known by his alias, "Oliver Stone," John Carr is the most wanted man in America. With two pulls of the trigger, the men who destroyed Stone's life and kept him in the shadows were finally silenced. But his freedom comes at a steep price: The assassinations he carried out prompt the highest levels of the U.S. government to unleash a massive manhunt. Behind the scenes, master spy Macklin Hayes is playing a very personal game of cat and mouse. He, more than anyone, wants Stone dead.

    Overall

I gave this book 4 stars because the story was ok, thought I found the plot to be quite shallow and very unbelievable. In addition there was some action, though I wish there could of been more and last but not least, it was free. To be fair this was my first book from this author and I understand that this is the 4th book in the Camel club series so perhaps my opinion would be different if I would of listened to the previous installments, however the book taken by itself after completing the Mitch Rapp series by Vince Flynn, did not compare by a long shot. I could take any one of Flynn's books in that series and compare it to this book and there would be no comparison when it comes to the plot, dialogue, action etc. However this book was decent and I will listen to other books from this author. If I had purchased the book I more than likely would of given it 3 stars. Bottom line, this book is not bad, but it was better free.

For years, Mitch Rapp's bold actions have saved the lives of countless Americans. His battles for peace and freedom have made him a hero to many, and an enemy to countless more. In the tangled, duplicitous world of espionage, there are those, even among America's allies, who want to see Mitch Rapp eliminated. They have decided the time has come.

    "Better Abridged"
    Overall

I have listened to all of the Mitch Rapp series up until this book, and this is by the far the weakest. This book would be more enjoyable with a large portion of it left out. I am a conservative and I agree with the premise behind the book, yet I think the political undertones were a bit much for me. I am normally not a fan of abridged books, however in this case, I will make an exception. For Mitch Rapp fans that are faithfully following the series, buy this one in the abridged format and move on to the next book in the series.

    "One of Kingsbury's Best"
    Overall

This is a great book for many reasons. First the narration was superb; the use of many narrators added a depth that made the story seem more alive and the transition between narrators was seamless. Two, this was just a well written story that really touches the heart. These two points coupled together led me to give it five stars. Kingsbury does a wonderful job balancing background details to the point that it is not boring for those who have followed this series and but enough for those not familiar with it. Much better than Take Two and I look forward to Take Four.

Sorry Ms. Blackstock, but this book is not worth a credit or any other means of payment. The only way I would recommend spending time listening to this book is if it were free. Simply put this book was not interesting at all. The whole story centers around the main character who tends to get unbearably whinny when things don't go her way. Quite frankly, she made the story almost impossible to listen to. I gave this book two stars because I at least finished it.

Brad Cutler, 28, is a rising star at his New York ad agency, about to marry the girl of his dreams. Anyone would agree he has it all - a great career, a beautiful and loving fiancée, and a fairy tale life ahead of him - when memories of a high school girlfriend begin to torment him. Lost innocence and one very difficult choice flood his conscience, and he is no longer sure what the future will bring except for this: he must find his old love and make amends.

    "PLEASE!!!!!!"
    Overall

I will attempt to make this short and sweet by simply getting straight to the point. Don't waste your credit. The idea behind the story is good, but it could of been written much better. Instead of taking 10+ hours, this story could of been told in half that time; it just went on and on. I got half way through it, listened to the last chapter and that was enough for me. Without spoiling the story too much, I found the characters to be less than realistic in their approach to problems. I don't want to minimize the seriousness of the theme but, please!!!!! Also, Brad, the main character, inability to formulate his thoughts and his constant hesitation made me want to puke. The narrator was good, but the story was not. This is not Mrs. Kingsbury's best, if you are listening to her books for the first time, try the Sunrise series or the Redemption series or any Terry Blockstock book. I think three stars is more than fair for this book.

Two thumbs up for a "Moment of Weakness". This audio book is well worth the money spent or credit used. I enjoyed this audio book. The story line is very thought provoking. My only complaint is the narrator; in my opinion, her voice does not fit the characters; also her range of voices is very limited especially for men, in fact her men sound more like women. Even though the narrators voice is very irritating this is still a very good story and worth the time to listen to. In spite of the narrator I still give this book five stars.

"A Bit on the violent side"
    Overall

This is a book that if it were made into a movie, I believe that it would make quite a bit of money. The story was well written, though I do not know much about the FBI and the witness protection program, but it all seemed logical to me. The story was interesting and the plot was well developed. I gave this book 4 stars due to the constant violence. This book is more violent than what I am accustomed to. If put in movie format it would earn a "R" rating. This is a book that has something for everyone; a bit of romance and suspense for me and action and adventure for my husband who also loved this book and is downloading more books from this author.

Hands down this is one of the best audio books I have downloaded and that is saying a lot because I have purchased numerous books in the past. This book has it all, suspense, thrills, drama, action and a bit of romance. Terri Blackstock skillfully wrote a wonderful story that truly portrays the depth of the many issues, both good and evil surrounding the human heart. It is a story of forgiveness and redemption. I enjoyed this book and I am sure that I will listen to it many more times. If you chose to purchase this audio book you will not be disappointed.
