Heller reveal how an understanding of attachment theory - the most advanced relationship science in existence today - can help us find and sustain love. Attachment theory forms the basis for many best-selling books on the parent/child relationship, but there has yet to be an accessible guide to what this fascinating science has to tell us about adult romantic relationships - until now.

Named for a flower whose blood-red sap possesses the power both to heal and poison, Bloodroot is a stunning fiction debut about the legacies of magic and madness, faith and secrets, passion and loss that haunt one family across the generations, from the Great Depression to today. The novel is told in a kaleidoscope of seamlessly woven voices and centers around an incendiary romance that consumes everyone in its path.

    Martha Trupiano says: "Amazing story"
    "I simply loved this book"
    Overall

I found myself continuously looking at the book cover on my ipod trying to guess which character the woman in the blue dress was. I felt sad a lot of the time while listening, but I couldn't stop listening-crazy huh? I was happy thinking yay!! Finally something happy in this character's life and then... sadness again. It's worth your credit- the narration cast is everything I look forward to in a book.

When Haven Kimmel was born in 1965, Mooreland, Indiana, was a sleepy little hamlet of 300 people. Nicknamed "Zippy" for the way she would bolt around the house, this small girl was possessed of big eyes and even bigger ears. In this witty and lovingly told memoir, Kimmel takes readers back to a time when small-town America was caught in the amber of the innocent postwar period - people helped their neighbors, went to church on Sunday, and kept barnyard animals in their backyards.

shopgirl says: "Beautifully written, beautifully read."
"I wish I would have just read the book instead"
    Overall

It is a good somewhat funny story, but not credit worthy. It's a quick story, so just read the book. I didn't find myself looking forward to hearing this one, I just wanted next month to come to have more credits.

Why we think it’s a great listen: The most celebrated performance in all of Audible’s history, The Help has nearly 2,000 5-star reviews from your fellow listeners. We hear the print book’s not bad, either. In pitch-perfect voices, Kathryn Stockett creates three extraordinary women whose determination to start a movement of their own forever changes a town, and the way women - mothers, daughters, caregivers, friends - view one another.

Jan says: "What a great surprise!"

This book was so touching. I listened to it at work and cried and wipe the tears secretly. I laughed out loud and got weird looks from coworkers. Great voices for each character. Mae Mobley will take your heart and you will cheer for Minnie and Eugenia and many others. I think about the characters of this book every day.
