This modern morality tale by gifted writer and speaker Andy Andrews teaches seven fundamental strategies for creating a successful life. Much like the best-selling books by Og Mandino, this unique narrative is a blend of entertaining fiction, allegory, and inspiration. Storyteller Andy Andrews gives a front-row seat for one man's journey of a lifetime. David Ponder has lost his job and the will to live.

If you could sum up The Traveler's Gift in three words, what would they be?

    inspiring, motivational, reflective

What other book might you compare The Traveler's Gift to and why?

I can't name one book so I will have to say motivational self help books.

Which character – as performed by Andy Andrews – was your favorite?

All of the short stories were wlll done and opened my mind to new possibilities that I realize I had been closed-minded about before.

What insight do you think you’ll apply from The Traveler's Gift?

I sure think it is a great idea to reflect on the thoughts and negative beliefs I have had in the past and be more openminded.

    Any additional comments?

I plan on relistening to this audio again and again as I am sure there will be new insights each time.

From the celebrated author of The Secret Life of Bees, a magnificent novel about two unforgettable American women. Writing at the height of her narrative and imaginative gifts, Sue Monk Kidd presents a masterpiece of hope, daring, the quest for freedom, and the desire to have a voice in the world - and it is now the newest Oprah’s Book Club 2.0 selection. Hetty “Handful” Grimke, an urban slave in early nineteenth century Charleston, yearns for life beyond the suffocating walls that enclose her within the wealthy Grimke household. The Grimke’s daughter, Sarah, has known from an early age she is meant to do something large in the world, but she is hemmed in by the limits imposed on women.

The story is great as well as all of the characters. The narration is wonderfully done with the 2 narrators and Sue Monk Kidd reading the Authors Notes in the end. I was even happier to know it is loosely based on a true story. I am so glad I listened to this one.

Haller is a Lincoln Lawyer, a criminal defense pro who operates out of the backseat of his Lincoln Town Car, to defend clients at the bottom of the legal food chain. It's no wonder that he is despised by cops, prosecutors, and even some of his own clients. But an investigator is murdered for getting too close to the truth and Haller quickly discovers that his search for innocence has taken him face to face with a kind of evil as pure as a flame.

It's just a small story really, about, among other things, a girl, some words, an accordionist, some fanatical Germans, a Jewish fist-fighter, and quite a lot of thievery. Set during World War II in Germany, Markus Zusak's groundbreaking new novel is the story of Liesel Meminger, a foster girl living outside of Munich. Liesel scratches out a meager existence for herself by stealing when she encounters something she can't resist: books.

I found this book a little slow to get into, but I enjoyed it once I got past the slow beginning. I was emotionally moved and very thankful for people who stand up for what is right, then and now. I think mankind can benefit from the realities presented in this work and I will recommend this to anyone who has feelings.

Yes, you can do, have, achieve, and create anything you want out of life. Anthony Robbins has proved it. Robbins, the undisputed master of the magic of mind power, shows you in this audio program how to harness yours. He demonstrates passionately and eloquently that whatever you think will be, that your state of mind determines what you can and can't do, and that all successful results can be modeled and duplicated.

James Patterson's scariest, sexiest stand-alone thriller since The Quickie. Ben isn't like most people. Unable to control his racing thoughts, he's a man consumed by his obsessions: movies, motorcycles, presidential trivia - and Diana Hotchkiss, a beautiful woman Ben knows he can never have. When Diana is found dead outside her apartment, Ben's infatuation drives him on a hunt to find out what happened to the love of his life.

What would have made Mistress better?

Concentrating on the story and not the endless unnecessary trivia.

Would you ever listen to anything by James Patterson and David Ellis again?

I will never purchase a newly released book again. I will wait for more reviews.

How could the performance have been better?

It was so hard to listen to in general. The story was bad enough, add the awful narration and it was a two thumbs down!

What character would you cut from Mistress?

I would cut the endless trivia, develop the characters and story without the boring needless useless trivia.

    Any additional comments?

    Don't bother with this one.
