inspiring, motivational, reflective
I can't name one book so I will have to say motivational self help books.
All of the short stories were wlll done and opened my mind to new possibilities that I realize I had been closed-minded about before.
I sure think it is a great idea to reflect on the thoughts and negative beliefs I have had in the past and be more openminded.
I plan on relistening to this audio again and again as I am sure there will be new insights each time.
The story is great as well as all of the characters. The narration is wonderfully done with the 2 narrators and Sue Monk Kidd reading the Authors Notes in the end. I was even happier to know it is loosely based on a true story. I am so glad I listened to this one.
I think this is my first experience with Michael Connelly and I thoroughly enjoyed this audiobook. I loved the narration and couldn't wait to get back in the car and listen on my 40 minute commute. I will come back to this author again and again.
I found this book a little slow to get into, but I enjoyed it once I got past the slow beginning. I was emotionally moved and very thankful for people who stand up for what is right, then and now. I think mankind can benefit from the realities presented in this work and I will recommend this to anyone who has feelings.
This is my first experience with this author and I really enjoyed the audiobook. I loved the characters and found them to be very realistic. It made me think of how women were treated in the past and how far we have come. I found it emotionally moving and would love to visit some of her other work.
I enjoyed the book, It was well narrated and a good story to listen to. I did enjoy the book.
I did enjoy the story, I read the other reviews and I guess I was expecting a little more. I did like the story. I know this is fiction, but it was just not believable enough for me.
I did like Michael Kitchen's performance. He did a fine job.
It was good enough
This was just way too short. I did not realize when I bought it that it was under 1 hour. The information is always helpful, but just not enough.
This book really brought you back in time. Life was so much simpler then. I really enjoyed the everyday life part of the story.
This book really moved me emotionally.
I loved the narration. She brought the feeling of the emotions to this wonderful story.
I do not listen to any book in one sitting, I have a long commute and listen in my car.
I loved the story, but did find it a little sad.
Concentrating on the story and not the endless unnecessary trivia.
I will never purchase a newly released book again. I will wait for more reviews.
It was so hard to listen to in general. The story was bad enough, add the awful narration and it was a two thumbs down!
I would cut the endless trivia, develop the characters and story without the boring needless useless trivia.
Don't bother with this one.
Energy, Motivation, Encouragement.
All self help titles.
I have listened to several of Tony Robbin's performances and always get lots of energy and motivation from everything he does.
He makes you want to get out there and DO IT!
