"Disappointment"
Not thrilling....tedious first 2 hrs...long boring descriptions of just about everything---clothing,weather, cars, briefcases, etc.,etc.,etc.,
The plot was slow to evolve and the villians difficult to identify, the ending ho hum....it gave me no incentive to care about the villian.....Wanted Man is not typical of Lee Child's talent.!
"Disappointing !"
I found a very weak story line.....too much repetition.....and do readers really need a detailed description of each article of clothing each character is wearing ....does this add to the story line....don't waste a credit on this one !
"Tedious....."
Tedious plot.....unbelievable at times......many twists, not resulting in progression of story line......disappointing turn of events......did not capture attention long enough to make it interesting to discover a conclusion.......
"Gottcha....again"
I was hoping this would be a Patricia Cornwell come back....it was disappointing.....It was a chore listening......I found that the beginning was a tedious long and boring dialogue with much to much description of things that did not really matter....did not enhance the story line, or encourage one to continue the book......it was really hard for me to continue, but I kept hoping it would get better.........
The monotone of the narration did not enhance the experience......
I will not get caught again !
"Unexpected twists"
Not great...but not bad.....many, many twists....the plot was slow to evolve and the "villains", and there were many......were at times difficult to identify....a no thinking required book.....
Just O.K.
"Unbeliveable....has Patterson lost his skill ???"
Listening to this book became a chore.....I felt obligated to keep listening because there was once "good" writing/reading ....I kept hoping the story line would evolve into a Patterson's past terrific story.......is he writing toooooo much tooooo soon....churning out predictable chapters lacking resources to vast to be believable........
Looking forward to the return of the author James Patterson .........
"Not Thrilling.....But Not Bad"
The plot was slow to evolve, and at times a bit unbelievable.......the villains were difficult to identify, but once discovered became an interesting journey......the plot kept my interest.....with all the twists, turns, and new characters introduced....the ending was a bit ho-hum (big build up---big let down) ......over-all a fun, listen with good narration.
"Delicious Twists......"
John Sanford's plot continues to peak the listeners attention on a on-going basis.....the plot has very interesting twists.....it takes one unexpected turn after another....but is comfortably understandable.....and urges one to keep listening !!!!!!
Great narration...great story line......just plain over-all great book
"Great Listen"
One could feel the emotion associated with Lucinda's decisions.....her past experiences really influenced her behavior.......Charlie's voice spoke lourder than many of her words......
No
Yes,.....I usually listen before bedtime....my bedtime became earlier, and earlier....the dog walks longer and longer
Will look for other listens in the series
"Awsome listen"
Different timelines with different scary scenarios comprise The Neighbor. Anyone could of "DONE IT:.....it was fun to see the plot unfold to a surprise ending.
