"WOW!! How good was this book!! Must read!!"
Ok, first let me rebut my first review of the Rise of the Governer. I complained somewhat that the author was "trying too hard to make as detailed and analytical " & "It just distracted me to much from the storyline". Boy was I ever wrong. I just loved the detailed in this book. It was just in aw how he kept using these adjectives and they were just spot on! I have read all the comics and I have recently re-read just past the prison in Comic books. Let me tell you there are charactors in this book that tie into that series of issue of the prison and Woodbury. And it's just cool to seem them in both. So I give a 10 out of 10 for this audio book!

"Who doesn't like The Hunger Games!!"
After the movie made such a buzz, I bought the entire Series. This book has some really good twist in it that made me feel like I was reading the first book and listening to its every word. Can't wait for the next movie to come out. It will be great!! But yeah, if you like the first book, it just keeps getting better!! Enjoy!
"Weak"
I turned it off right away. This is probably a good book for certain readers but my bad on spending a credit on it. Lesson learned
"Joe Ledger needs to be on TV!!"
This Joe Ledger is such a personality he needs to be on a TV series or movies. They must make this for TV!! I enjoyed this book but for whatever reason after reading the first book, I thought it was going to be zombie related. Jonathan Maberry did a great job on making fantasy a reality with real possible scenarios. I just really enjoy this series and I actually bought book three right now. Its like X-files meets Sledge Hammer!!
"It was not my cup of tea."
I thought I would enjoy this comic book style of Zombie slayers but it was very boring. I am thou one of those type of listeners that has to finish the book. I had its moments but it was just cheesy and lame. I did enjoy the location of the story. Some super heroes were cool but again it was not my cup of tea. Maybe more for the teenager zombie genre!
"I just love this Series!!"
I listened to the first two books not to long ago. And when the final 3rd book came out on audio, I listened to the first two books again and then capped it off with Survivors. I just loved the entire series. This 3rd book was another listen strait thru kind of book. I thought he was off on Brewster's voice. And I didn't like the Very Very end. But it did have an ending I was ok with. But its a great zombie Series. One of the best.
"It's a Survivalist must read!!"
I was worried that I wouldn't like it the monotone old man voice of the Narrator and I was right but he is bearable. He just made everyone sound really old. But the story was great and I really enjoyed his knowledge and strategies. I only wish I could prep like they do in this book. They go into real depth on prepping. It was like a prepper's wet dream! But I do enjoy this book. Makes me proud to be an American. And it is a very likely story that could happen in our near future. If you just get past the first couple chapters the book picks up very well and then I couldn't stop listening to it. I marked it off my bucket list (zombies, apocalypse, Survivalist books).
"Sledge Hammer Vs a Zombie Al Qaeda and you have..!"
Man, this new Joe Ledger series I found is awesome!! Joe Ledger is a smart ass, top U.S. Military leader, who is smart and a bad ass. This is like no other zombie book character out there. Storyline kinda follows the same path as the book "Day by Day Armageddon" where it is a daily/hourly/minutes chronicle of what is going on but with in its own style. You get so involved in all the different characters. The narrator did such an amazing job. I thought that Oliver Wyman from "The Morningstar Strain series" was the best zombie narrator but Ray Porter killed it! Not alot of "Zombies" as you would expect but the zombies in this story did not become the undead organically and it makes sense for the set up in this book 1.
I highly recommend this book 1 and my book 2 is downloading as i'm writing this review!!

"It's a Classic, so I had to buy it!"
I just needed to get this book out of my way for one of my survivalist/apocalypse stories. It was actually pretty good. It started pretty slow but I actually really got into it at the middle & end of the story. Its like I didnt want them to ever get rescued. But can you really get rescued from the world bombing each other. I loved the community they developed and all the side stories. I could really picture this book being a TV series. It had good honest hard working families, evil raiders, people with special skills. The skill of bartering and the true worth of what is really important when money is obsolete. Starts slow but if you stick with it, its actually a really good book! Now I know why its a classic. Kinda had a Gone with the Wind feel to it. I recommend it!

"SHTF now!! This series keeps getting better!!"
This book 2 is great! I love how book 1 starts from all these different places around the globe and now they are all on the same journey to the same location. And they have to get thru a new world of survivalist, raiders, hordes of zombies, and a secret goverment agents. (spoiler alerts now)
From when they have to decide to get off the submarine and march across the US from Oregon to Omaha. The small town of survivors they meet and the special ops mission they go on to save a mechanics daughter in order to get their truck fixed so they can continue on there way to Omaha. That was the best part of this book.
So go out and get this series. Start with Book 1. Book 3 will be out in June or July!!
