If you've gotten this far, then you know the basic premise of the book. I've told several friends to read it, because it's the best thought-out time travel book I've read. Every time I had a questions during the book, like "how would that work?" or "what if...?" it was answered in the book almost as soon as the question popped into my mind. I did think the book dragged just a little in the middle, but it picked back up again shortly. And I loved the ending. If time travel were really possible, then this would be how it could work and what the consequences would be. Definitely put this one on your "to read" list, you won't be disappointed. And don't be put off by the length, the only issue is that you won't get much sleep because you won't want to turn it off!

I've always enjoyed David's books, but this one was outstanding. I thought the story was very tightly written and extremely suspenseful. Throughout the book, you could almost feel the clock ticking down while following the twisted path. The story line was very topical and complex without being too confusing. Even though "fracking" is the protester issue du jour, David put a great spin on it and used that to his advantage. I highly recommend this book for anyone looking for a suspenseful, fast-moving thriller.

This was the best Brian Freeman novel I've listened to so far. I thought the storyline was well written and certainly wasn't predictable. The feeling of the rural area was communicated well, and the story all tied together in the end, even though I thought there would be loose ends. My only concern was that there is quite a bit of violence, but I don't know that's unusual in most thrillers these days.

This book begins with an interesting ethical dilemma that is carried throughout the book. I loved the storyline and where Mr. Rosenfelt took it. There were enough twists and turns that it kept me guessing all the way through and I didn't predict the ending at all. My very minor complaint would be that the narrator tried a little too hard to differentiate all the character voices, and it wasn't always successful. This is a great summer read!

This was another fun novel by David Rosenfelt. The humor he includes in his writing just puts a huge smile on my face with every chapter. I swear it feels like Andy Carpenter is one of my good friends and I can't wait for every new book. The storyline kept me guessing and the characters excellent.

I really enjoyed this book overall. I loved feeling like I was getting to know the characters. To be honest, I would have liked the women themselves to be a little more flawed and for the ending to be more realistic. I liked the writing enough that I'm buying an earlier book by this author, so I think that's a good endorsement.

I don't think this is John Sandford's best book, but I like the character of Virgil Flowers. The character is raunchier and funnier than Lucas Davenport, which opens up pages of humor that I love. The mystery story is average and not that suspenseful, but getting to the end is fun. Overall, I liked it, but didn't love it. But I love Virgil!

I love the way Anne Rivers Siddons writes, so I really enjoyed most of the book. The pace is relatively slow and the writing is more descriptive than in most modern best sellers. This is not an action book, and even though I'm familiar with her writing, I expected something more to happen. I ended up being disappointed with the second half of the book. If you enjoy a casual stroll through Maine and just admiring the scenery, you'll like much of the book, but if you want action sequences, you'll be disappointed.

This story kept me guessing almost to the end, which surprised me. I also enjoyed the insight into the lives of 3 families. And I thought the family stories were right on point, and very realistic. I thought it was an interesting examination of how one event can spiral into the unraveling of a town. I definitely recommend this for a good listen.

I really enjoyed the story and the twists and turns of the plot. I changed my mind about who "John" is throughout the story. My only complaint is that I thought the narrator hyped every little nuance of drama. I felt a little bit like I was listening to "The Bachelor" and thw whole book is "the most dramatic rose ceremony EVER." I would have liked the dramatics toned down quite a bit, and then I would have given the book 5 stars.
