What a great character! I've heard the name over the years, but never had a frame of reference for it. It's amazing to imagine the challenges of the times, societal rules, etc. Even by today's standards, "Moll" would be an extraordinary woman.
What an amazing tribute to Chris Farley! It was a privilege to discover more about this talented man who made the world laugh with him. The personal stories help me appreciate more, what a great loss his family has endured.
The summary didn't give me much to go by-but I am glad I took a chance on it. wow. this is one of those stories that seems too far fetched - but yet it's real. It was a worthy pick for my coveted credits.
I listen to many books on a regular basis-but rarely do I come across those that I want to listen to straight through. This is one of those rare gems.
a snooze fest. very hard to get into this story. ugh. actually, it was painful.
this book is a chance to fill in the blanks about the life of a gifted performer. the narrator does some spot on impressions.
I was unfamiliar with the author, beyond her role in OITNB. I was bored one day and randomly listened to soundbites of new books, and couldn't not want to know more.
The author clearly has a gift for writing, and her honesty and integrity shine through this book. I feel it is a very worthy story to listen to.
I was glad the author narrated the book.
I was surprised by her feisty personality -and
teenage antics. In the age of reality TV and "too much info" , I gained a new respect for her by listening to her tell her story without commercials.
I appreciated hearing the author narrate her own book. it is to her credit that she was able to transcend the challenges her personal life threw her way-and come out on the other side, insightful and whole.
what a generous gift the author gives the reader--this is a remarkable read that I will not forget.
I don't know why I chose this book, I guess I expected some salacious tales from one of the brat pack. I was really humbled to learn my critical assumptions about the author were unfair. Hearing his story told, in his own words and own voice helped me appreciate him as a person. I really enjoyed this book.
