Darcy Newhart thought it was a stroke of genius—the first–ever reality TV show where mortals vie with vampires for the title of The Sexiest Man on Earth. As the show's director, Darcy's career would be on track again. And she can finally have a life apart from the vampire harem. Okay, so she's still technically dead, but two out of three's not bad. Now she just has to make sure that a mortal doesn't win. If only she wasn't so distracted by a super-sexy and live contestant named Austin....

The "Love at Stake" series is one of my favorites and I have read every book through the current, in come cases, mulitple times. Although the story is enjoyable, "Vamps and the City" is not one my favorites in the series.

That said - I did enjoy the Audio version, and Ms. Craden did a crediable job with her narration, voices and accents.

So what if he's a bit older and usually regards a human female as dinner, not a dinner date? Yes, Roman Draganesti is a vampire, but a vampire who lost one of his fangs sinking his teeth into something he shouldn't have. Now he has one night to find a dentist before his natural healing abilities close the wound, leaving him a lopsided eater for all eternity. Things aren't going well for Shanna Whelan either... After witnessing a gruesome murder by the Russian mafia, she's next on their hit list. And her career as a dentist appears to be on a downward spiral because she's afraid of blood.

The "Love at Stake" series is one of my favorites and I have read every book through the current, in come cases, mulitple times. I enjoyed the audio book version of "How to Marry a Millionaire Vampire", and while the narration was not totally perfect, it was very good. For the most part I enjoyed how Ms. Cypress was able to vary the character voices and her treatment of the various accents of the characters. I particurly like how she captured the characters of Gregori and Laszlo.

If it was still beating. Angus MacKay has been undead for almost 500 years and it's not often something, or someone, surprises him. Until Emma Wallace. The sight of this luscious agent from the CIA's elite Stake-Out team was enough to stop Angus in his tracks. But then he discovers that she's a vampire slayer, intent on killing the "monsters" who killed her parents. And it's Angus's job to stop her.

This book series is one of my favorites and I have read all the books in the series, in some cases multiple times. This particular book (Angus MacKay's story) has always been (and remains) one of my favorites. I have the entire series in audio book format and have completed the first two and just started this one. Although I had read some of the previous reviews regarding this narrator, I decided to hold back my judgement and listen for myself. I realize that often times, perception is key and is different for each indivudal.

Sadly, however, the previous reviews regarding the perforamance for "Be Still My Vampire Heart" were not wrong. Although the performances in the previous two books were not perfect, they were still good in the fact that the narrators were able to differenate between characters and used accents that matched the characters. Ms. Rawlins, however, has fallen very short in this regard.

Not only does she not deliver the necessary accents, she seldom varies the delivery of each character. Not only is it very hard to determine when one character voice changes to the next, but her overall delivery comes across as flat. I have listened to many different books over the past years, and this performance is not close to what I have come to expect.

I listened to the first three chapters, which is enough to know that I don't want to continue with this book. Fortunately, I have read the book and will be able to move on to the next book in the series without losing any continuity.
