I enjoyed this book. Some of the love scenes are a bit exotic, the humor is wonderful. It's another one of those books that takes little concentration but rather, it takes you easily through with humor.
I've noticed a new trend, probably since 50 Shades of Gray came out, where the erotica is going more and more into a dark place with more intense scenarios leaning toward a more uncomfortable place than I'm willing to be taken. I find it quite uncomfortable to know of and to listen to. Also, there is becoming a 'salad tossing' of a sort of who is participating in the sexual behaviors, with no possibilities being exempt. Again, a place I'm uncomfortable in being taken. To approve of such behaviors by qualifying that each person used (and is usually at least three now) Love one another is an immature persona to be placed on such a life.
Be aware that these books, by Kit Rocha will include such scenarios of darkness and extreme sexual encounters that you may want to reconsider your choice to listen.
Sorry that I can't add anything positive in my review of these books, but the solidarity of each character is just not there making it beyond my ability to identify with them.
I will warn anyone who may want to listen to any in this series that Michelle M. Pillow writes this with the male and female FULLY misunderstanding one another. If that be because one attempts to do the thinking for the other or one is too slow to respond to another so an assumption is made, you will find it quite annoying!
The only true way I was able to get through this listen was to skip chapters. I'm sorry to say, because I hate doing that. I won't be using a credit or spending any of my money on one in this series again.
There is substance to the content of MP's book. If she would write the relationship between her lead male and female characters in such a way that we, the listeners/readers could respect and tolerate them, she would be SPOT ON in her writing strength. Setting them up in the manner in which she does make, we the consumer become uncomfortable, and angry with those characters personalities.
I enjoy that she writes this series with females being part of the Galaxy Bride's, where women are taken to various planets where the male's population are needing women to procreate their worlds. The simplistic manner in which a 'crystal' worn by the men since their birth alerts them to who their 'true mate' is. All of this along with the tradition of unity of marriage and the institution of family is well done by Michelle Pillow. I appreciate her for that.
My recommendation is:
If you Can overlook or tolerate the banter of misunderstanding that goes on between the husband and wife in these books then your money/credit will not be wasted.
If such bantering annoys you beyond reason. Don't waste your money or your credit.
Almost anything narrated by Christian Fox is an automatic download for me and if you buy this one, you'll understand why.
This book is about a love. It's an awakening for Gage and a fulfillment for Oops. Honestly, that's her nickname, being named that because she was born to her parents when they thought they were done with having babies.
Because this is an erotic romance, I don't want to say more, because we know what that adjective describes, however; this is one of the best written and narrated ones I've listened to. There is some BDSM, but it's not too difficult to listen to rating it on a scale of 1-10, I"d give it a 5. I'm not a fan on BDSM literature, but like I said, I couldn't pass up listening to a erotic book narrated by Christian Fox.
For those who choose to listen to erotica, then this one will be worth your credit or your money.
I'm sure since the story was so short that the fact that this novella was so predictable and difficult to believe can be attributed to that reason. However, J. S. Scott seems to have similar plots throughout any given series she does.
The performance was good, but I wouldn't spend a credit on this unless you've exhausted your ability to buy something else.
The beginning of Simon's story was good. I enjoyed it. Toward the middle and especially the end I was like, WHAT!!?? I mean who in their right mind hires a lawyer to write up a pre-nup stating since I'm a lowly nurse and you're a Billionaire, I bring NOTHING to this marriage and I'll take NOTHING if we should divorce??!!! And she wants to do it so show him she doesn't love him for his money. Of course she's already proven that by not spending one penny of the $100,000.00 he deposited in her checking account last year!! Please, authors. Puuuulllleeease.....Don't think we, the readers, who keep you in $$$'s are STUPID.
I'm sad there is only this one book by S. E. Smith. But, not to worry, because the second one in this series (Razor's Traitorous Heart) will be coming soon.
This is so very well written. Women who are strong of character, faithful, determined. Family is everything to Jessie, Jordan, and Taylor, having lost their father the day the aliens landed on Earth and the humans left alive is plagued by groups of rogues doing more damage to their own than the aliens have.
In this book is a Rescue (not planned), by Jessie. She assists Hunter in getting loose from a small group of human rogues who are set on doing him a horrible bodily harm.
From this point, Jessie and Hunter's lives are intertwined.
It's romantic, exciting, adventurous, and positive. I enjoyed it very much and I just can't wait for the next book. This book is a "mild" cliffhanger. What I mean by that is, you don't need to have the next book to complete the relationship that exits between Hunter and Jessie, but it ends with a hint as to who the next book will involve.
I love Jacqueline Rhoades. She's an outstanding author who gives such wonderfully full story lines. I would recommend any book she writes. I will NOT give Leah Frederick (Narrator) another listen!! Because narration in an audiobook is EVERYTHING!!
Her voice is high pitched and it just hurt me to listen. I tried. Honest.
So, listen to the full sample listen before deciding to buy or not.
I enjoyed this book so much. Everything about it was spot on for me. The performance, the story line and the overall hit 5 points! It's a long narration, but I never lost interest in it. The flow of the book moves nicely. This fourth book in the Motorcycle Club is a doorway to many other books to come along in the future, which I'm looking forward to listening.
I found this book intriguing and suspenseful in areas along with the everyday struggles we have today with children who are born with Fetal Alcohol Syndrome and the many obstacles they have to learn to live with along with the difficulties of women who are finding theirselves alone raising their children on their own.
I can't remember enjoying a book as much as I did this one in a long time! It's a love story, and true love story with a mystical over tone. The erotic is gentle, not profane. It's a verbage of love between two people who truly love one another.
I would recommend this book since the story and the narration is perfectly done.
If you like descriptive violence then you'll probably enjoy this book. I would caution anyone wanting to listen to this one. It has very graphic scenes of physical and mental abuse. Not for me.
