I would have picked another narrator. I have read other books that he read and this one didn't fit. He sounded the say with each character. If you miss the part where he says" said Billie" then I was lost. He tried to sound country for Billie sometimes but bad attempt. This was a little Charlie Brown too.
I got a little more detail about the infection. Also met a lot of interesting new characters.
I think the same narrator should have read the entire series like zombie fallout- Sean runnette. I like Christian rummel who read part 3.
I need more time to think about this one!
Yes I would read another book by J.D Mason but not with Cary Hite. Cary Hite is boring and dry. He lacks emotion and I don't like him reading for women.
It was a little redundant. He just kept recapping from the first book. This one was long and drawn out. It story just keeps dragging on it could have been only one book. A part 2 was not needed.
He was boring and lacked emotion a lot of times.
They were all boring. I really enjoyed the first book. There was no need for a part 2
I would recommend to friends. It was different from any others I've read. It was from the perspective if the military. He actually wanted to help humanity.
I was mad at first but. I hate when ppl I get attached too die. But it made for an exciting ending.
Emotion. I felt like I was in the story. That rear
As far as zombie books I rate this a 2 out of 6.
Hero and his twin brother. I liked them the best because they added humor to this installment of the series.
I listened to the entire Remaining series and I enjoy him because you and distinguish the character when he reads.
Spoiler: When they had to take to hill to the dock and hero had his brother on his back and he and Billie made it a competition to see who killed the Mose zombies. Then hero and his brother ran straight into to the zombies. I cried he he said said tell him he's my Hero.
This fact I read the series before. So I know they are all great!
The mom was a very strong women. I liked that.
The narrator lacked emotion the same with the first.
When she hit the guy with the bat that they saved because he wanted to take billie's boat and her trip to the pharmacy to save her daughter.
I just wish they all had the same narrator. Loved the narrator in 3. He did the Remaining too. Loved him
This was the worse book I have ever listened to. I have read deadlock 1-7 I love the story. But the narrator was horrible. He reminded me of Charlie browns teacher. Lol
Because I read then all and i am a mom I have to go with the mom.
The first 4 should have been longer. They were more like short stories.
Yes, it's a great story just too short.
The narrator made the book boring.
I think the book would have been better is there was a different narrator. There was too much unnecessary emotion when she read. The true characters could not shine through at all.
I enjoyed the ending very much., I am actually reading a hard copy and it's better and better with me reading it myself.
I like Cary Hite and Honey Jones. This narrator made all the ladies sound like they had an attitude when they didn't. She made the men sound angry and slow all the time. Then at others the women sounded as though they were winning and crying all the time. There was never a regular tone or any in between in any of the conversations.
I really liked Cary Hite and Honey Jones sound effects and emotions when they read. This narrator had emotion but it was misplaced.
Yes I would. This was a great story and I loved the way it flowed. Keep me reading I finished the book in a day.
My favorite character was Dy-nasty and Mink. The twins were off the chain and are determined to get what they wants by any means necessary. They are comical lol
I laughed when Dy-nasty was trying to irritate Mink every chance she got.
Not sure right now
Women running S*&!
When LeShelle got what was long overdue from her sister La'Shara.
I think they should have had the same narrator for this one that did Hustlin' Divas. I think her name was Honey something. I really liked her and her sound effects. These narrators had none. They just read the words. I felt like I didn't know any of these characters because of the different narrators.
Not really I just felt bad about Essence.
There were a few inconsistency like when Yolanda said that she didn't know Baby's real name until she went to the funeral in Hustlin Divas and then turn around in this one and say when she was meeting with her children say that she named her 3 year old daughter after her. Then Momma Peaches says that she can't go and see her husband in jail because she's on parole but then when she needs to ask him a question about him being Mason's dad she all of a sudden can get in and see him.
But all and all I loved the story.
I felt like I knew all the characters and there lives from birth and I enjoyed it. But I found it hard to really relate and visualize them because I was confused sometimes about the characters ages because the narrator made almost all the characters sound like elderly people. A lot of them sounded the same. I will not read any more books she narrates!
Borne because I tend to feel for the torched souls. He was strong and powerful. I almost liked Jada but she was stupid and soooo weak it was shameful.
NO never! I hate I got pt. 1 and 2 together because I would just buy the 2nd and read it myself.
Yes I would
My only issue was the narrator
