The stories in This Is How You Lose Her, by turns hilarious and devastating, raucous and tender, lay bare the infinite longing and inevitable weaknesses of our all-too-human hearts. They capture the heat of new passion, the recklessness with which we betray what we most treasure, and the torture we go through - "the begging, the crawling over glass, the crying" - to try to mend what we've broken beyond repair. They recall the echoes that intimacy leaves behind, even where we thought we did not care.

What made the experience of listening to The Storyteller the most enjoyable?

The readers were fantastic and the story was gripping

Who was your favorite character and why?

The grandmother, because of her strength and wisdom.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

When the Germans came in and knocked the chicken dinner off the table. I don't know why but that scene stayed with me throughout the book.

    Any additional comments?

There was some foreshadowing regarding the ending..... but I still feel as though too many ends were left in the air. I would have liked a few more details

What did you like best about Canada? What did you like least?

I liked the reader, he made the book a little more interesting. I found the character's to be a little unbelievable..... I couldn't see the mother ever doing what she did.

How would you have changed the story to make it more enjoyable?

This question is not a good one; the author is the creator and that's the story!

Do you think Canada needs a follow-up book? Why or why not?

NO, it was clear what the outcome was and little else could be elaborated upon.

    Any additional comments?

worth a read if there's nothing else.
