I listened to this book out of sequence and fell in love with the characters and the narrator. I listened to the first six books as fast as I could....now I'm sorry! More please!!!
This book borrows the situations and characters from Jane Austen but that's where the similarities end. This rendition is full of adjectives but slow on action. Unfortunate, because the concept was intriguing.
The quality of WMC is slipping. I continue to listen in hopes that it will improve AND I want to know what happens to Lindsay. I suggest that Patterson should take more time on each book instead of cranking out book after book. Books 1 and 4 were super thrillers....wish the others were that good.
David Suchet's normal, and rather lovely, voice is quite different than the voice I identify with him, that of Poirot. His excellent voices helped to bring the many characters to life....
Movies made of the Orient Express generally leave out a lot of the book's setup, so it took me awhile to warm up to the story itself...until they reached the train. After that, Suchet and Christie provided me with many enjoyable hours of sleuthing (and I already knew who did it!)
