Dubbed the American Tolkien by Time magazine, George R. R. Martin has earned international acclaim for his monumental cycle of epic fantasy. Now the number-one New York Times best-selling author delivers the fifth book in his spellbinding landmark series - as both familiar faces and surprising new forces vie for a foothold in a fragmented empire.

Ryan says: "Enjoyable, but a lot of setup"

What did you like best about A Dance with Dragons? What did you like least?

I like the series as a whole, but this book was not the best of them. It was drawn out and pretty boring.

What was the most interesting aspect of this story? The least interesting?

I didn't find much interesting in this book. I had a very hard time finishing it and even skipped through chapters to find something to that reminded me of why I liked the series in the first place.

The familiar characters are gone, replaced in this one book with new, which makes trying to get into the story hard. I traveled a road with the Starks and Lannisters which ended up nowhere.

Would you be willing to try another one of Roy Dotrice’s performances?

Roy was ok in this one. Everyone sounds the same and he definately ruined Dany for me.

Do you think A Dance with Dragons needs a follow-up book? Why or why not?

    OF COURSE IT DOES...
