I love the Jane Jameson series, and this last book of the series, is a great ending, on Jane's life-storie in half-Moon Hollow for now.
Molly harper is a fantastic writer. And she don't disappoint you with this book. It's sweet and fun. And when you are finished, you wish, ther was one more book to read.
And this is how it should be.
Amanda Roncodi is also fantastic this time. She makes the character alive.
Is this book worth a credit? Yes :)

When they first met Lord Jeremy William Radcliffe, Charlie and her twin sister, Elizabeth, were escaping from their uncle - taking turns acting the young gentleman to avoid detection. But Charlie couldn't help falling head over heels-and out of a window - for the handsome lord. Of course, that was only the beginning; Lord Radcliffe insisted on showing "him" and her lovely sister to London. But how could he do that? With every touch, Radcliffe seemed unknowingly to incite indecent desires in Charlie, and his fraternal intent was certain to land her in a fine mess.

Maby because i read the Madison sisters series first, and that was so fun, that i thought that this book would be the same. Still it could be more fun. I love where he wants to make the young "boy" to a man.
    But overall i great story

This is a cute and funny book about a young woman who must find the inner strength and self-confidence, when she and a lot of people must build a village on a island there hasn't been lived on for years. There's just one problem. Darcy is a city girl. She has no idea how to build a village from scratch. The story is great, the characters well developed and I really enjoyed listening. I like Darcy. But i just miss more romance. Overall a nice easy story, that i think most will enjoy.

Defiant Highland beauty Fiona Sinclair is shocked by her brothers’ treachery. To seal a fragile truce, they have traded her hand in marriage to their sworn enemy, a man she has never met, a man she was raised to despise. With no choice but to wed, Fiona makes her own private vow: Though she may sacrifice her freedom, she will never surrender her heart. Commanded into marriage by the king, Myles Campbell is no more willing than his reluctant bride. Still, she is a rare beauty, passionate enough to warm even the coldest marriage bed.

    Story

It is one of those books that might seem a bit long at times. But it is a heartwarming book that follows one of the more trationelle stories from that time. A young girl gets married off because of a political alliance.
Fiona is married to Myels, but she is afraid of him and his clan. And Myles is not particularly fond of her. But as it always happens, they see sides of each other, that they did not believe existed, and their hatred for each other becomes a love stronger than anything else.
I like this book. It gives the feeling that love conquer all.
Sarah Coomes does a ok job. Sometimes it's as if she draws the words out. But it's something you can survive. The book is good fun and worth the money. But do not use your credit, save it for an expensive book

    Entertaining

Who was your favorite character and why?

James Malory is my fav of them all in the hole series. He is outspoken , fun and you just can't stop loving him.

    Which scene was your favorite?

There are so many that I can't name one. Because I don't think it would be fair to the book or the author.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

I could not stop it. So I listened to it twice in a row. And many more times since then.

    Any additional comments?

This is one of this books, that is so funny and entertaining, that you can't stop listing to it. Johanna Lindsey is incredibly good at writing a composite historically accurate but also fun book. She has an amazing ability to capture its reader / listener. Which also means that it almost becomes sad when the book is ended

What made the experience of listening to The Bastard the most enjoyable?

    The storyline.

What was one of the most memorable moments of The Bastard?

There are several. Where Treynor takes the punishment for Jeannette. Where he punishes her by taking all of her clothes and tie her to the trunk in his cabin. Where they almost makes love, but Treynor is to mutch a gentleman although he says he is not. And many more monents.

Have you listened to any of Sarah Coomes’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

Yes.The Countess by Lynsay Sands. The most to lose and Intimate deception by Laura Landon. Highlander surrender by Tracy Brogan. But in this book, I think she exaggerates the characters voices, so you get a bit fustreret sometimes. The book is good, but it gets a little long, while you are listening to it

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

    No

    Any additional comments?

The storyline is great. I love Jeanenette and Treynor, but I think the printet vertion is better. But do not be intimidated by the audio version, the book is amazing in itself, and worth every penny, if you want to buy it.
